Really, really difficult position to call. It's barely even a position... practically a novelty.

There are no stats kept on long snappers and they're rarely even mentioned by anyone. I'd assume that even the most hardcore of diehard football fans couldn't name more than a small handful of long snappers.

You're right about that. I had to look up the Cowboys' long snapper. I had his name on the tip of my tongue, but just could not remember it.........lol.....that's pretty bad, huh?

I had to do with the same thing with Jon Dorenbos. I have probably only heard his name mentioned less than 3 times during his career.

Patrick Mannelly of the Chicago Bears.

He gets plenty of practice during the games considering we punt 84% of our offensive drives.

Rob Davis of the Packers was an excellent long snapper. He retired prior to the 2010 season.
