QUOTE:
SO I am thinking that there is no reason that the Packer's will not repeat...last year theyhad such a terrible time with injuries and yet they persevered and prevailed...what is to stop them this year...besides the lockout?
I would have to agree with you.
Depends on a few things(besides no major player getting injured):
1. How well can Mike Neal take over for Jenkins. In the few games he played in he looked capable enough for the Packers to repeat.
2. HOw well can Randall Cobb play in place of James Jones. With the way Jones played in playoffs this won't be too hard or shouldn't.
3. How well does Lang play in place of Colledge. Colledge isn;t the best so I can see Lang being able to play better.
4. How much did the top teams improve? Saints seem like the only team in the NFC that improved enough to overtake them. Ingram should set up a good play action.
So I expect the Packers or Saints to make the Superbowl.
QUOTE(#5):
They will not repeat...period
Just as the Bears won't repeat as division champs.
Rodgers will end up modeling panty hose at tupper ware parties, after multiple concussions.
QUOTE(#6):
Just as the Bears won't repeat as division champs.
They have a better chance at winning the division, than Green Bay has at winning another Super Bowl, luck never happens twice!!!
They are close to settling this thing, get yout **** talking ready Packer trolls...
QUOTE:
The Packers will repeat, just like they have every other time they won a super bowl.
The Pack lost to the Broncos in Super Bowl 32 after they'd beaten the Pats in the big game the previous year.
Just sayin'...
QUOTE(#15):
Thanks for explaining why the Bears will suck this year.
How do you extrapolate that !!
You just keep sucking...
QUOTE:
I'm 'just sayin' that the Pack will make it back to the super bowl
You are right Shelly Ann and welcome back!
Yes the packers will be the favorites to win the SB. But the pats went 17-0 and lost in the SB ... you never know.
People said the same thing about Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints last year.
Green Bay should be the favorite, just like almost every defending champion. However, there are 31 teams in the NFL and games aren't played on paper.
All it takes is for one other team to get hot at the right time. Or one bad game by Green Bay in the post-season. Or one key injury to say, concussion-prone Aaron Rodgers. Et cetera.
And I know Green Bay Packer fans will throw a fit about this last point. But don't forget, the Packers were only a #6 last year. They didn't exactly dominate their schedule, regardless of what reasons (excuses) you wish to use to justify their record.
