Can't a guy stop and have a beer without the cops pulling him over?

I just loved him on Dancing With The Stars. I hope they go easy on him.

Just a bad mistake is all ... he seems like a great guy and the Steelers have never had a problem with him in all his years there ... I doubt that the NFL will take this very seriously.

He was really great in Dancing With The Stars. I hope the NFL doesn't fine him for this little incident.

I guess he was lucky enough not to hit a van and kill a family of 5 on their way home. Drinking and driving should always be taken seriously regardless if the person is a nice guy or an alcoholic.

Did I say it made it okay? Did I say he shouldn't be punished?
I said I doubt the NFL will take this seriously ...

As much as i dislike Hines Ward, gotta say who cares? This doesn't exactly make him the worst criminal in the league

The night of his arrest he won the prestigious " Dancing with the Wino's in the County Drunk Tank" Soon Hines and his Lawyer will be doing a "Song and Dance" in Court proclaiming that Hines was not drunk and he knows how to hold his liquor.

I never said you did, the comment was more about the NFL and how they handle situations like this, and I never mentioned punishment, but I believe he should be if the story is true.

Hines has never been involved in off field trouble before and deserves benefit of the doubt. I hope this is just an isolated incident for him.
