There is no defense. You don't see this with the other cross-border sports. MLB needs to address this and do the right thing--and not just for games that are played on the Canadian side of the border.
Actually, I'm surprised they even play the Canadian national anthem in Toronto. Don't get me wrong, it's a great city, and I've really enjoyed my trips there, but those people want to be New Yorkers more than New Yorkers do.

Right? I was quite confused when I read that, at first I thought he was talking about the catcher for the Jays, but yea... he's a first baseman buddy.
I think he meant to say Votto at 1st and Russell Martin at catcher. But, regardless, at least the Canadian anthem got played, unlike the Asian and Latin countries.
