Evans cannot be happy about this (to say the least).

The main event injury curse continues.

Evans/machida is a better matchup if this fight is supposed to have title implications. Im curious how it will play out being made on short notice and the outcome of their first fight.

I think that ultimately it will be evan vs machida 2.....machida is probably working out a nice payday for the short notice fight

Reports are coming out that this is all but official. The first betting lines that I saw was machida -305, evans +245. That is a ridiculous. who is really gonna bet that? I cant say that I dont agree with the heavy favorite but dont the sportsbooks want you to bet

why would you throw your money away on evans?

I am upset about this, I was wanting to watch Evans vs Davis match. Tito is too old to take on a short notice and it wouldnt be a good idea for Evans to come back from being out a very long time to fight Machida who just Ko his last fight a month or two ago.

Here are a couple that comes to mind and some of theses names may already have fights booked but,

Ryan Bader could take a short notice fight
Jason Brilz lost his last 2
Rich franklin would be a good tune up fight
James Tuna came of a loss
Vladimir came off a nice Ko
Matt Hamill could take a short notice fight.

My only point I am trying to make is that Evans needs a good tune up fight. I think fighting Machida would be a huge mistake since he has been out of the cage for a very very long time. Once he gets his tune up fight then give him a top elite fighter to fight.
