MLB  > General MLB  > Thoughts on 'National Pray for A-Rod Day?'
July 13, 2011, 02:02 PM
I've now seen this on 6 forums. Someone has created a national day of prayer for Alex Rodriguez. Ridiculous but funny... If it is a joke.

Here's the quote...

On Monday, All-Star third baseman, New York Yankee, and American icon, Alex Rodriguez (A-Rod) underwent successful knee surgery. He will be unable to compete for 4 to 6 weeks. A-Rod is an incredible talent and The Yankees will sorely miss him during his recovery. However, there are times when we all need to put our thoughts on the individual first and the team second. What must be going through his mind, knowing that he won???t be able to play baseball for almost a month and a half? What kind of mental anguish must this cause?
Therefore, on July 21st 2011, America will come together and offer a moment of thought or silent prayer for the injured Yankee. This day will now be known as National Pray for A-Rod Day. Please join the millions of Americans who will take time out of their busy schedules to think about Alex Rodriguez for ten to fifteen minutes. Remember, this isn???t about baseball, it???s about A-Rod.

God Bless.
