C'mon man Tito wins his 1st fight in 5 years now he's pretty much fighting for the #1 contenders spot?

I agree with Bubba. I think Evans wins but what happens if Tito does? Beating Bader was a huge upset but even with a win over Evans (another big upset imo) don't think h deserve a title shot over other guys in the division.

QUOTE(#6):

Not trying to be a jerk but who deserves the shot if tito wins? Just curious.

Id give it to Machida over Tito, or the winner of Shogun/Griffin. As Bubba said Tito was completely irrelevant for 5 years and just got a surprise win over Bader, who maybe was overhyped?, and if he beats Evans he gets a title shot? Ultimately this mess is all Jones fault for not just fighting Evans like he was supposed to and then after Evans gets scheduled to fight Davis he takes the Rampage fight.

Ufc had their hands tied. But I think if tito wins you can sell him on deserving a shot. Beating bader and rashad 5 weeks apart speaks volumes. I'm rooting for tito here.

Im right with you Jim. I cant stand tito and I have never understood the draw/popularity but I love the storyline with tito's back against the wall and the upset of baber. I really hope that tito is really healthy again.

I was reading the story behind what happen and Machida asked for Anderson Silva money after agreeing to the fight, then pulled out when dana told him no. Tito called back, took the fight, and did Dana a favor (for once). Dana is giving him the him a chance to be the old tito again.

This is the perfect chance for tito, for his last shot of glory. A #1 contender that hasnt fought in a year, too perfect. The winner of the davis vs evans fight was probably fighting for the title so if tito upsets evans (probably wont), I say give him the title shot. It will be a hugh draw for ufc if tito wins (thats what Dana is looking for).

My head says evans by unanimous decision but my heart wants tito.

There is no way with how this went down that Machida gets a title shot.....no way. jump on mmajunkie and read the story. Machida is on Dana's **** list now. No way Forrest has a chance to get a title shot. Shogun is a possibility

Agreed. Machida did himself no favors. I think if he was going to turn down the fight he should've done it when they 1st called. By accepting it then turning it down he really screwed himself.

Not just because of turning it down but because he embarrassed Dana since he had already announced it lol. If Evans wins none if this matters because he will get next title shot and you might get your Machida vs Shogun/FG winner. But if Tito wins I say give the title shot to Rua/FG and let Tito fight one more guy before givng him a shot

Heres how this lays out. in 3 weeks evans vs tito (aug 6th). the winner of that gets a shot at winner of jones/rampage(sept. 24th) probably on dec 10th. Machida will get the winner of shogun vs forrest (aug. 27th). that will go down probably in january

Sounds damn good to me.

Oh rashad def gets the shot if he wins. No doubt. I thin rashad wins but I'm not counting tito out. Foorest-shogun winner deserves a shot but I just think if tito wins a case can be made for him that's all.

even with a win over shogun, I dont see forrest deserving of a title shot. I say that Machida will have to wait till Jan. to get another fight. the winner of forrest/shogun vs machida would get the title shot after tito/evans

Hendo's also in the mix for a shot at Jones if he decisively retires Fedor.

Those dates are too crammed. Sept 24th to Dec. 10th is only 2.5 months. Champs don't defend nearly that frequently. And the UFC will want more time than that to hype up that title fight with TV specials.

coker and dana have said no one else is coming over from strikeforce. wont happen. Hendo spurred dana with the way he went to strikeforce
