I heard that some moderate owners have forced Jerry Jones and other hard line owners into a more conciliatory stance. Hopefully bot sides can now come to a quick agreement.

Hopefully some of those moderate owners muzzled Jerry Richardson and locked him in a broom closet. That could have been helpful.

Word from the negotiations indicates there may be a new CBA by as early as Tuesday.

Since I'm starting my vacation Tuesday I wonder if they will be accepting bets in Lake Tahoe casinos if the CBA is signed, last year I was going to bet on the 49ers but we ran out of time, good thing i didn't take them to win the NFC West. One of my gambling buddies was going to bet a sizable amount on Dallas to win the NFC Conference.

The Lions will be dangerous this season but I think they'll finish in second place behind the Packers. I think the Bears and Vikings will fight it out for last place.

I'd like to see the Lions do well this year. Not so much for Ford, but for the long suffering fans. But, one could say that for the Browns, Bengals, and several other annual cellar dwellers.
