Good news... even better if we have some actual NFL activity in the next week or so.
It seems the reports of a secret players insurance policy had a lot to do with this. If so, well-played by DeMaurice Smith...

I heard that some moderate owners have forced Jerry Jones and other hard line owners into a more conciliatory stance. Hopefully bot sides can now come to a quick agreement.

Hopefully some of those moderate owners muzzled Jerry Richardson and locked him in a broom closet. That could have been helpful.

Word from the negotiations indicates there may be a new CBA by as early as Tuesday.
Since I'm starting my vacation Tuesday I wonder if they will be accepting bets in Lake Tahoe casinos if the CBA is signed, last year I was going to bet on the 49ers but we ran out of time, good thing i didn't take them to win the NFC West. One of my gambling buddies was going to bet a sizable amount on Dallas to win the NFC Conference.

I'll take 1 large on the Bolts to win it all, Narry. I do that most every year anyway but haven't made it to Vegas or Tahoe yet this year and I've never done the online thing. Yeah, I know, it's a lot of dough down the drain seeing how they haven't won yet. Should get about 10 to 1 on that, but it's just a donation to the mob in the end. But not THIS year. THIS year is the Year of the Lightning Bolt!! Ha.
I'm betting on the Lions to win it all. Maybe I'm being overly optimistic.

The Lions will be dangerous this season but I think they'll finish in second place behind the Packers. I think the Bears and Vikings will fight it out for last place.

I'd like to see the Lions do well this year. Not so much for Ford, but for the long suffering fans. But, one could say that for the Browns, Bengals, and several other annual cellar dwellers.

Never say never regarding that hillbilly.

Well, Hank Williams Jr. recorded his MNF spot this week, so maybe that's a sign of things to come.
That is a good sign.

All my rowdy friends might come out on Monday night?
Never a doubt.
Great ploy by the NFL ginning up all the angst and anticipation over "the lockout"

Dice, mike brown is a livingshlong and will be the last owner holding out.
Keep the faith EZ.
