NFL  > Dallas Cowboys  > 2011 - 2012 Cowboys Season Predictions
July 26, 2011, 01:48 PM
1 9/11 @ NYJ -- Loss (away game and the jets are better)
2 9/18 @ SF -- Loss (away game)
3 9/26 vs. Was - Win (yes shannahan and this team are that terrible)
4 10/2 vs. Det - Win (home game for the cowboys but could turn into the coming out party for the lions)
5 Bye Week
6 10/16 @ NE -- Loss (like the team has enough heart to win in Boston ... yea right)
7 10/23 vs. StL -- Win (Same as DET game ... could be a loss)
8 10/30 @ Phi -- Loss
9 11/6 vs. Sea -- Loss ( I think Pete Carroll and his group are ready to make noise in the NFC)
10 11/13 vs. Buf -- Win (just cause the Bills are aweful)
11 11/20 @ Was -- Win (yes shannahan and this team are that terrible)
12 11/24 vs. Mia -- Win (Home game and the dolphins have no weapons and no QB)
13 12/4 @ Ari -- Win (I dont think Az has a D or an Offensive line)
14 12/11 vs. NYG -- Loss
15 12/17 @ TB -- Loss (good young team)
16 12/24 vs. Phi -- Loss
17 1/1 @ NYG -- Loss

6-10 with wins over SF, Buf, Mia, Ari, 1 Was, Sea

Nah...Dallas goes 10-6 or 9-7.

Saying they will lose both to the Giants is not going to happen...even last year at 6-10, Dallas still split every game in the NFC East.

You have them going 2-4 in the East and Dallas is not a bad team...they are a very good team that will improve with better coaching this season and more talent infused along with vets being cut.

As I type this, Roy Williams, Leonard Davis, Marc Columbo and Marion Barber are already cap casualties.

Candidly...each was very over paid and not producing...

Not very optimistic on this season are we? I think if they keep Romo upright, and play a little defense this team could easily go 10-6 and make the playoffs. Its just a big if when you have a rookie Rt, cut Leonard Davis, Doug Free who is a restricted FA and a Lg who is older than dirt. Lol

July 26, 2011  02:31 PM ET

Damn the more I think about it, the less optimistic I am.

I think they keep numeral uno-uno. He'll cost them 12 million against the cap to cut him.

If Jerry Jones doesn't meddle, the team could go 10-6.

July 26, 2011  03:05 PM ET

hate to say.... they are a .500 team at best - could be worse though.

Only if Jones gets involved.

The more i look at this team ... the more i wonder how the O line is gonna produce. Also how the D line is gonna produce. They have nothing there to wow me ... so im going to go with 7-9 maybe 8-8. It just cant compete with teams like the NYG and Eagles. The giants are gonna rip them a new one. Their defense is good. So is philly. You get consistency in winning from your defense.

July 26, 2011  03:59 PM ET

They will make a bone head move and keep Roy Williams and lose Doug Free to FA. Dez Bryant will do something stupid and hurt himself or be suspended. Romo will break the strap on his Gucci purse and sit on his own 20 yard line and cry.

Dallas 9-7 or better.

I'm picking Dallas to win 12 games and cruise to the Super Bowl.

The Superbowl ... really??? And i thought I was a huge homer.

You're just full of funnies today, aren't you? This is the third one I've seen, but have yet to laugh about. C'mon, man! You can do better than this....surely?

Being the Cowboys fan I am, and have been for over 40 years, I can only hope. But, it's a realistic hope, knowing that this team is not really a super bowl caliber type.........not yet. That's not saying they won't ever be, but I don't think they are yet. I'll be happy with a winning season, then maybe one or two play off wins. We will see.

I'm going to focus on the journey, and not the destination right now, and enjoy the game for what it is.

July 26, 2011  05:09 PM ET

I have to agree with many.... I think they go .500 if not below it. Romo is not the future of this team and the sooner Jerry figures that out (which he won't) the better we'd be. I'd rather suffer watching McGee play QB...at least then we'd have a valid excuse for .500.

July 26, 2011  05:15 PM ET

JJ will cut Williams and take the cap hit.

Barring major injuries, the Cowboys win between 8 and 10 games. I can see them lose a couple they should win (STL, DET or one of the WASH games) and win one they should lose (NYG or @TB).
