A good article speculating on the future of the Big XII http://machorhino.com/?p=17920

Some very good prognostication there. One thing I would add is that I don't think Texas really wants to go independant as long as they can stay in a conference w/o revenue sharing. I think the conference will resign themselve to Texas' network as long as they don't air HS games.

So it boils down to whether or not UT wants to stay in the ONLY conference that will allow them to keep their own money and TV network or rather air HS football (enhance recruiting) and go independant.

The one thing I disagree with is TAMU: as soon as Texas announces the airing of HS games they are signing with SEC.

That makes OU-OSU the plumbs. If TAMU goes to SEC and the PAC gets OU, OSU, and TT, then that leaves the PAC still needing 1 more team from that region. Baylor? Houston? SMU? I'm pretty sure they would like to get at some of the fertile Texas viwership and recruiting grounds, which means DFW and Houston (I would say Austin is locked down tight, wouldn't you?).

Being a PAC fan and a TCU fan I would love to see the PAC steal them away from the BE rather than go for SMU or Houston.
