NFL  > General NFL  > The toughest division in football...is

This is a tough one, but I think it is the NFC North this season...if any one of the teams made the playoffs, it would be expected.

Green Bay - Defending Super Bowl Champs

Chicago - Defending Division Champ, hosted NFC Championship game

Minnesota - One year removed as possible best team in NFL

Detroit - With the Free agents and picks that they have gotten over that last few years, they are ready to compete.

If the NFC South did not have Carolina, who will be hapless, they could be.

I agree, the NFC North is going to be a tough division with the Lions gaining respectability.

BGDuece,
I disagree, I think the Vikes are going to the basement of the division. I feel for AP as he will get pummelled as they continue to lean on him. RBs age prematurely, this will make it worse.

As for the question in the thread....let's see what the divs look like after 5-6 weeks of real football. Who had Dallas at 1-7 in the pre-season last year at this time? Pre-season predictions serve to make most of us look terribly WRONG.

I agree, that this will be a tough division and I wouldn't be terribly surprised if any of these teams won the division. The AFC North could also be a tough division this year but it will be hard to tell until the start of the season. The Browns and Colt McCoy look like the real deal out there at times. McCoy shows flashes of greatness, much like Stafford. He had an almost flawless preseason game, though that doesn't say a lot. The Steelers should have a similar season this year and the Ravens should do good as well, though maybe not as good as last year. And who REALLY knows about the Bengals? Andy Dalton could shock us. This could be the toughest division in the AFC.

They may very well do that.....If McNabb can become what he used to be. And, of course, Peterson. We'll see.
