NFL  > Denver Broncos  > Best options for 2009, Agree or Disagree?

Pick up Scott Pioli and Josh McDainels. More than likely they will be a perfect match with an already similar mind set. Pick up someone like Michael Bush or Tashard Choice (they are both in a crowded backfield and likely will be for sale) Draft a top rated DT and use all draft picks on the best available defensive players (more of DT, DE, and LB) unless an OMG I cant believe he is still here O-lineman is sitting there. Maybe grow some balls and go after an Albert Haynesworth or a Jonathan Vilma (no way will the Saints give up a 1st rounder to keep him) even maybe Julis Peppers.

Agree or Disagree?

Pioli would be a good choice at GM for sure. However, I want to see someone with a defensive mindset running the Broncos, as their offense is already solid. I think Spagnolo is the answer and the guy the Broncos need to sign immediately.

Spags would be a good choice as well. I just want to see what McDainels can do with Cutler and that offense after what he did with Cassel. A good QB teacher is very important. Look at what Norv Turner did for Phillip Rivers.

McD would mean good bye Bates.
I'm good with that.
Who would be his choice as D coordinator would be my question

Bring Greg Williams in to coach the "D" and Martz to coach the "O"..hahaha
you know cutler would $hit himself if he found out he would be able to throw the ball around like that.

tashard choice isnt going anywhere

the Broncos want to keep Bates for Cutler's development and Bring in "Spag's" as headcoach for the rebuilding of the Defense and the mentality of the whole team. Bowlen wants to keep the "Goodmans' " in the front office and maybe bring in G.M. like Pioli...

Spag's for sure. Taylor Mays in the draft (if possible). Not sure about picking up an older lineman via free agency. Never seems to work for us, but if we get Spagnolo, he can do what ever the hell he likes.

as far as the d line goes...no brainer there..for years thats been a huge weakness for the team and really puts a lot of pressure on the linebackers and dbacks to make plays..without that big push up front, you're in trouble and every year we get exposed at that position....gotta do something drastic...

Why go safety when you can go Middle LB and Draft Rey Maualuga? Ray Lewis was around before Ed Reed. LB's are a great starting point other then DL to start a DEF around.

Also Rodney Pittman, Ryan Torrian, and Peyton Hillis (among others) will all be healthy going into the season, injuries happen. With Denver's OL RB is not the main focus, DEF is the Drastic need not another RB. Even when they had Terell Davis getting all the glory for the SuperBowl he was just a piece of the puzzle not the big gapping hole. They had recently got Neil Smith from KC and LB Bill Romanowski, while having guys like S Steve Atwater, CB/S Tyrone Braxton, DT Trevor Pryce, DT Maa Tanuvasa, DT Keith Traylor, and DE Alfred Williams all in their prime.
