The UGA BSU game and the LSU Oregon game is scheduled at the same time?

My family is LSU and I'm UGA....my family is coming up to visit on that Saturday. Thank you to who ever scheduled this fiasco, we are all going to need counseling after this one.

Take everybody out to the local sports bar, get'em good and liquored up, and park'em in front of the bank of TVs. Make sure all weapons are left at home, too.

Be careful. Jordan Jefferson may be the bouncer.

speaking of in-laws, I don't understand why everyone seems to complain about them. I tell my wife quite often that I like HER in-laws a whole lot better than MINE!

Labor day weekend is always a difficult time to give your teams game the full attention it needs and deserves, what with the big house party/cookout,, little kids screaming and yelling everywhere,, sister in laws having conversations of Lord knows what right in front of the efing TV during the game!! AURGHGHGH!!!
Try cursing out loud like a drunken sailor at the TV during the game, that usually scares em all out of the room, works for me ;) Your welcome.

As far as "Does anyone understand why"? I've been asking that every since they took
"The life of Riley" off the air and replaced it with "Entertainment Tonite".

ROFLMAO....so true

I have been asking myself this very same question. Why would the bone heads at Disney who own both companies ABC and ESPN be cutting their viewership by putting those two marque games on at the same time.

My guess is because ABC has over-the-air broadcast rights and ESPN has the cable rights and each entity sees an opportunity to reach a broad demographic in Sat prime time. It's about the advertising dollars more than anything (as it always is).

They have large tracts of land.

Yep. And like it was mentioned a while back on I wanna say Sportscenter or maybe College Football Live the shifting of conferences might not be over. Especially if the NCAA follows through with their idea of 4 16 team mega conferences.

Hard to fathom, I agree.

I still think the conference is not necessarily making the right choice, basically "expanding without provocation". Unless they see some serious negotiations going on with other schools and other conferences that nobody is aware of, and are doing a pre-emptive move. If OU, UTx or some other heavy-hitter were included as a package deal, it'd be much more understandable IMO. I guess the allure of a foothold in TX for TV markets and recruits is just too good to ignore, and aTm is decent enough to accept as the cost of achieving said foothold. Mike Slive has made all the right moves up til now, gotta keep faith that he knows what he's doing. (crossed fingers)

I've been to College Station, the land is not impressive to say the least. It is better than Lubbock, though.
