not so good....plot and acting are better than the first one but the filming/direction/script are a bit lame and chaotic....very little character development as all of the characters come out of nowhere and they don't really explain each character's motivation so you end up wondering why you are supposed to care....but at the same time, they don't abandon all attempts at character development in order to provide an simple fight-fest....you kinda get a little of each....and that leaves you with less than a complete movie...It's kinda cool to see Machida(cameo), Duffee(one of several main characters), and Big John(cameo)...

This is actually a pretty good review Loki, thanks. Unexpected, but I'm glad you put it here none the less.

the one cool thing is that they don't over-glamourize certain moves as being more effective than they really are....the first one did too much of that...

I remember hearing an interview with Eddie Bravo where he said that he was involved in this one and it had way better fight scenes than the first.

yeah, Never Back Down 1 was a better remake of Karate Kid than the new Karate Kid where Will Smith's kid learns Kung Fu, not Karate....

Saw it liked it.....If it involves fighting I'm down....lame plot was like oh we gotta wipe Duffee's character out before the finale fight otherwise no one could beat him......Those were all kids and Duffee **** bigger terds. Overall I was happy watching Michael Jai White but he was really a background character...loved blood n bone that was sick!
