NCAAF  > Ohio State Buckeyes  > Something missing at OSU
January 7, 2009, 10:32 AM
Watching the game the other night I thought OSU matched up well with Texas. So the better atheletes stuff is bunk. Anyway what I do see with the Bucks is they seem to be off thier game for some reason. Something is missing in the way they play. They're stagnent most of the time on offense and the D is always great but leaving them on the field too long always kills them later in the game. They are very frustrating to watch and sometimes boring. They came out mixing things up in the first quarter and had Texas wondering what was going on. Then in the second they played basic football on offense to get through the half and it cost them. Same idea in the third quarter and they found themselves down 17-9. Then bang!!! Back to mixing up the offense and they scored two tds in less than 5 minutes. But the first half penalties and field goals where not enough to hold the lead and cost them late in the game. Seriously you cant beat Texas or Florida or LSU kicking field goals and playing it safe. I think someone might have seen this and made a correction. They just dont seem to have the dominating attitude they need to have to win the big games, they seem so ho-hum to me...
