I understand there were a few plays made on defense, but I'm grading an OVERALL approach to the game. A few plays made properly doesn't make up for the garbage OVERALL I saw tonight.

Right now they just have to win the games. Doesn;t matter how well they play as long as it ends with a W. THe playoffs are when they have to be on top of their game.

While I wasn't terribly impressed (at all) by the Packers D, we have to remember that this is the Saints offense they were dealing with. The Saints O looked good. Interested to see what this defense will do against some lesser offenses. Packers O looked solid, thats for sure!

I can agree, but this was waaay worse than advertised for a Dom Capers defense.

Ditto, and I did mention they looked rusty, but 420 yds passing for even Brees is a disaster! Not to mention the lack of tackling on run defense. YIKES!

Both offenses are amazing, and Sean Payton made some poor decisions, hindsight being 20-20. 4th and inches, you're golden - if you make it. He's going to be all over the field all year long.Both teams had special teams failures, too. I saw that in SD all year long last year.Solid game by GB. Congratulations. That offense was a machine. Very impressive. All other teams in the NFL, notice has been served. Both of those teams are the real deal.

Defenses were getting ripped on the morning shows, and that was my point. Looking outside of the box (team performance, which is what I was grading) the game was an A+ for entertainment value.
