NCAAF  > General NCAAF  > Demand FanNation take action to kill the SPAM boards
September 11, 2011, 01:21 PM
My fellow true fans of college football, the FanNation message boards are being overwhelmed by SPAM boards touting online options to watch CFB games. Our user experience is being so degrade as to drive us away.

Let FanNation know about it. Go to the bottom of the page and click on the "Contact Us" link. Select to report a User Violation. Report and denounce the SPAM boards and the usernames of those creating them. Do it early. Do it often.

You may post here your efforts to report and denounce SPAM boards and the users putting them up.

+1, but the mods seem to take the weekends off most times.

We could boycott a weekend. Views drive their revenue stream.

2nd weekend in OCT (Columbus day weekend) may be good for this.

So, you allude to FanNation allowing SPAMMERs so that their activity may artificially inflate the site's numbers, thus raising ad rates/revenue?

You all are talking about me again ain't cha! Where's the love guys? lol

Last time I checked (It may have changed, not sure) it was UNLAWFUL (ATF/FBI) to post free TV over the Internet, as it violates copyright laws. Allowing these spammers to use SI as a poster board for their wares......I would think SI would be running to the feds to turn over the origins of these postings. I accidentally went to one of these sites last year, and within a few days got the dreaded ATF/FBI "You've been notified......." That was it for me.

I took the SI survey that popped up last night, and included complaints about the spam. But there were questions regarding whether or not I pay for sports information online. Makes me wonder if the spamathon is being allowed in order to justify making this a pay site.

I will NOT pay for this ****. There are enough annoying videos and banners on this site to pay the ***** bills. **** it.

And ... and ... Sports Illustrated ... you can stop pushing that ********* annoying Sports Illustrated Video. That's right I said *******. Nobody, but nobody, gives a flying **** what Maggie Gray has to say and they don't want everything repeated over and over after every click.

So you can tell Paul Fichtenbaum and Ian Orefice that they've COMPLETELY ****** UP THIS SITE!.

I thought you wanted to see Ms. Gray in pseudo-celeb mud pit wrestling, Doc.

Maybe someone should turn SI into the FEDS as a website that tolerates this sort of criminal activity! I'm going to assume though that they must know by now....
