MLB  > Pittsburgh Pirates  > What will it take to win another World Series?
January 8, 2009, 06:18 PM
Prior to last year's regular season, I felt that the Pirates needed a change at GM (general manager). That happened prior to the 2008 season, but, they need a GM like Sid Thrift who can weave together a winning team in a small market organization. I don't know if the present GM fits the bill! The hitting is there with the youngsters that they have. It's pitching that is needed, starting as well as in the bullpen. And not just pitching, but, good consistant 3.80-4.25 team pitching. I honestly believe that the Pirates will make the playoffs within the next five years!
