This may be early but so not a bad start. So many never gave him a chance to prove anything. He did not even have the benefit of a full training camp. War Dam Eagle!!!

Now you know why he got on his knees and begged Steve Smith not to leave 8 receptions for 187 yards. But lets get real, this was against Arizona.

I don't care if this was against the "Little Sisters of the Poor". It was an impressive performance.

Yes Newton looked good, unfortunately for him there is a BIG 'but', the Cardinals totally expected him to run, showed some of the most basic defensive formations and never tried to get into his head.

Wait till this week when they face the Superbowl Champions and coverage gets mixed up and see if he can handle it.

The NFL needs at least 32 very good QBs to make the games interesting. I hope Cam is the real deal. One game does NOT make a career but he had one heck of a start. Let's see what he does when the NFL starts to build a library of film on him and adjust the defenses accordingly.

the kid is a rookie.... give him a break. certainly one game does not make a season or a career, but it's amazing to see how many folks seem to want to see this player fail. that's unfortunate. he had a great first game... let's see how his first season goes before we label him a failure.
