there was certainly good, bad and ugly in this game! but i'd have guessed this game isn't too close to begin with so if you can get past the last 5 minutes and focus on the positives (and that's hard when you look at the bonehead mistakes made by romo), Dallas could do well this season. the jets are a good team... maybe real good. and dallas had this game until the mistakes started late.

You know me 77...I have defended Romo until I have been blue in the face on here...but no more!
He should have just dropped to the damn ground when they were inside the 10 vs trying to make a heroic play and ends up fumbling...the rest (our forced fumble and then the punt block) would have never occurred and with a 2 score lead, Dallas was going to win.
Now...since the rest happened, I (being a QB myself), can not figure out for the life of me what Romo was looking at when he threw it to Dez and got picked. The only thing I can think of is that Dez ran the wrong route and was supposed to come back on the ball...and even if that were the case, Romo should have thrown the ball away...
The issue with Tony is that he is much like Farve and suffers from a Hero complex.
You either Live or Die by the sword with his amazing plays and in this one, we died.
Now...once I look past all of that, I am VERY optimistic about the season. Rob Ryan has that D pressuring the heck out of guys and once we get Newman and Jenkins back 100%, they will look even better.

I know Dallas fans tend to exaggerate, but really, EVER?

man, i was so frustrated we lost.... went to bed thinking about that game and how well this team played overall. but like you, we should be somewhat optimistic about things. the D looked way better than we thought and the offense played smart, effective football for almost 4 qtrs. we need a win next wk in SF and the memory of this game behind us.

Well...let's see...
Dez is gimpy to begin with and Revis is running underneath coverage on him and the saftey is 5yds over the top.
So? Ummm... YES!

Agreed....I think if the Boys can put up 24 on the Jets D, they can score on anyone.
The 49ers should be a win and with the Skins behind them at home, I think that is another win.
We just got to healthy because this team is banged up big time.

Cromartie intercepted that pass, it was a terrible call...
If they had 50/50 possesion, I would go for that...Cromartie had more than fifty percent of the ball, and was touched down...touchback...In the end justice prevailed...

Cromartie did intercept it in the air and lost it on the ground.
50-50 possession in the air and on the ground goes to the Wideout...it is a NFL Rule.
No different than a fumble and the first guy on top of the ball usually does not end up being the guy with it at the end.
Justice prevailed is BS.
Cromartie getting beat last night by Dez and Austin constantly was a road map for other teams and how to pass on the Jets.

Brett Favre reincarnated= Tony Romo.
Now that's just hateful and mean.
Brett Favre reincarnated = Donovan McNabb
I thought the young Offensive line and the Defense gave good accounts for themselves, Jeff. The O-Line didn't seem too awed by the moment. And being down to our 4th & 5th CB's, the front 7 played well.
One of the things that still sticks out is this - why do we keep Bueller? His whole existence on this team is based on his deep kickoffs. That is a complete waste of a roster spot.
No comment on Romo - his play spoke for itself.

Is that good or bad?

What caused the call to go as it did, BG, was the defender let his left hand go off of the ball while Austin continued to hold on to it with both hands. At least in my opinion, and from what I saw.

I'm feeling like some of you guys about Romo now. He's reverting back to sandlot play and making bad decisions....the fumble and interception. It appears that when it comes to crunch time, he crunches alright. He may never be more than he is, and if that's the case, maybe they should relegate him back to back up status and use Kitna, or another veteran, as the lead dog. If this happens again, then something needs to be done.
Overall, I think the Cowboys played lights out........much better than I expected, even Alan Ball.

I agree Otis...the Dline and Oline did their job given the intense pressure Romo was under.
Bueller is a complete waste of a spot, for sure.

Face it.....Dallas blew it last night! sad, cause I was hoping they would beat those nasty jets!
I guess Rex Ryan gets bragging rights over his brother.
Yes, they blew it, but I, for one, didn't really expect them to win. They played better than I thought they would, and that was a pleasant surprise. I figured the Jets would eat them up, esp. with the questionable secondary.
Almost the same defense as last year, and they played a helluva lot better. I figured the O line would not hold up as well as they did...considering 2 rooks starting and one with one start......not too shabby.
It could have been worse tho...........they could have looked like the Giants did against the Redskins..............lol
