NCAAF  > General NCAAF  > a HOT CHICK and how the BIG-12 should stay together

For years the Big East has gotten by with 8 teams and got a BCS bid with how crappy they have played. The BIG-12 teams need to stay put and they will still have their big. How can the BCS say no to having OU and Texas get a big for the BCS? With 9 teams the BIG-12 can survive. They could also go after BYU, Houston, TCU, or SMU as teams to complete the conference as 12.

My idea has been to get the conference back to 12 by moving OU and OSU to the BIG-12 NORTH to make 6 their and then fill in the rest of the BIG-12 south with SMU, Houston, or even TCU if they can get them back from the BIG EAST?

It can happen but they will have to ignoe the "we won't have as many TV markets" and all that garbage. It will sell itself over time. It will only make football in Texas better and stronger.

The Big-12 should look like this:
South: Texas, Texas Tech, Baylor, SMU, Houston, and TCU

North: Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri, and Iowa State.

Make sure OU and Texas meet every year...and they should meet in the conference title game every few years.

OU will dominate the North but the other teams are not far behind from being competitive and keeping up.

The South will be up for grabs while Texas is not being Texas. It would be interesting to see some old rivalries renewed! Just make sure SMU doesnt over pay their players! It will sell!

Right now its a "pissing" contest with money and pride and all these AD's need to put it away and just make it happen! By doing this the ACC, PAC-12, SEC (plus the begging Texas A&M), and BIG EAST dont go into armageddon about expanding!

Thoughts?

I wish WVU and Boston College would switch....WVU would be a better fit for the ACC

As I see it, the Big XII is doomed for 2 reasons....

1) Ever play Risk? The Big XII's geography puts it in striking distance for the other majors whenever they decide 12 is not enough and they start looking around for areas to expand.

2) Due to its haves vs have-nots situation, Big XII members lack the cohesiveness to stick together.

I must admit, though, I expected reason #1 to happen before #2. Didn't expect an inside job and didn't expect the breakup this soon, but inevitably it will happen even if the SEC declines to take TAMU right now.

On what level do you think WVU is a better fit for the ACC?

Closer to the part of the country where burning couches is considered normal behavior.

Just more for geography than anything moving WVU to ACC...then WVU can play Virginia and Virginia Tech on a regualr basis!

Agree about the Risk theory but i guess I just get bothered by how teams join conferences that how no close connections.....Texas to PAc-12...etc...Tcu to Big East!

Hey Texas, OU, aTm, Corn....A number split evenly 12 ways makes all 12 splits exactly the same. OH, your 1 of 50 too huh.

I'd like to see WV and Pitt join the BigTen+2.

Yeah that won't happen...cause I think Penn State would have some issues! Let's go after the like of FSU or maybe the U!

Ha-ha-ha, that's classic. Although you could be right about PSU having issues with Pitt joining for some reason. I've wondered why PSU and Pitt don't play more often. Seems like a natural rivalry.

Lets blame this conference mess all on NOTRE DAME....the BIG-10 wanted them and they said no...i bet they wish they went now.....and because Notre Dame said no....BIG-10 had to go after someone from another conference.

Since Nebraska left...Colorado was like "see ya"....then everyone started playing cat and mouse with conferences....time to get over it

Just have Texas invite some schools in texas and maybe BYU....dont go crazy but i would take 6 conferences of 16 teams which would lead to a playoff!.....move the MAC and WAC and SUNBELT down to the Division II play...they will never have teams for a national title!

Then with the 6 conferences all conference iwnners make the playoff and then 2 at large bids! It will work and the NCAA will make a CRAP load of money!
