was a real good day for romo.... he does rarely get recognition for these type of games. honestly, i can't remember many where he played like this late in the game, but i'm sure there are a few. broken ribs are so painful, not sure how he did it - he does have some heart and drive. but got to get ready for next week and a tough schedule. let's hope we can keep it going!

Yes....playing with a broken rib is bad enough, let alone TWO!

He did show some serious heart coming back into the game, especially with them down 2 scores.

I got to say, it is only Week 2, but there is Dallas, Ranked 4th in Offense and Ranked 4th on D. If we can get the points scored on us down a bit, which will come with a better run game, I think Dallas can compete with anyone.

The Saints and Pack are good teams, but they are giving up a lot of yards themselves...so, I think with Dallas healthy, they can go head to head with anyone.

any word on romo's status for next week? can't find anything. but have to assume if he can play like he did yesterday a week of rest will only help. but you know the skins are going to be gunning for him sunday!

Many players are being evaluated on Monday before practice resumes on Tuesday.

Austin hurt his hamstring.

Costa got hurt.

Felix has a separated shoulder.

And Romo's ribs.

The O is banged up big time....hopefully they can get healthy because this was the part of their schedule that I was hoping they would go 3-1 during.

With the Skins 2-0 and the Lions 2-0, those are going to be tough games.

Maybe the 'Boys will be last years Packers?...........lol..............We can only hope....:-)

Romo earned my respect for playing with a cracked rib. That is a painful injury.

I heard Austin might be out until the bye week (5?). That's a blow. And Felix' injury sucks, too. Gotta give it up for Romo. He showed guts playing hurt, and performed well. Congrats on the W. Any W is a good W in the NFL, and the 49ers are tougher than some expected, I think.

Site called Cold Hard Football Facts did a nice break-down of where Romo sits in the 4th quarter hero/goat tournament. He's about middlin' as I recall. Great site if you like "just the facts ma'am". Google it.

has to be some difference between romo and aikman......
oh yea, it's the 3 SB rings aikman can wear when he wants!

and i'm not bashing romo..... just responding to the never ending comparisons between romo and aikman. obviously aikman had better people around him and probably better coaching. and romo played so well in the 4th against the niners. if he could play that way most of the time, we'd likely see a lot of the QB discussions die.

I've never heard anyone question his toughness, ability or desire. He's got all that. It's all about decision making and leadership skills for a QB, which is where he has fallen way short. He seems to be improving on leadership and the Jets game shows his lack of decision making abilities still exists Maybe the Niners game gets him going in the right direction for a long time.

exactly.... ability, talent, and even toughness - it's there. Jimmy Johnson said in a recent interview about romo that he was not a "situational" type QB, meaning he did not have a good feel for when to take risks in a game and when NOT to take risks that could put a team winning, in a very bad situation. or in other words, decision making skills are lacking at critical times in the game. BUT.... let's hope he continues to improve in this area and we have begun a winning streak that will continue for many, many weeks!!

well at least he had the cap turned with the bill forward in Sunday's post-game press conference and the jaunty tweed beret is no longer around so that has to be an improvement.

I'm not totally convinced that the last int towards Dez was totally on him. Got the impression that there was a mis-communication between Qb and WR and when a ball is thrown totally to the DB that is often the case.

To all, not comparing Romo to Aikman, just CHFFs had the winning % spelled out for both when in 4th quarter down by 1-8 pts, as indicated most come in at about 35% able to pull it out. You can always make statistics say what you want....
