Just came out, tune in to the "Monopoly" (ESPN) for follow ups I guess. At least until more is known by tomorrow.

1. This is just part of the negotiating process.
2. Everything is negotiable.
3. If Larry Scott really plans to leave 25-30 million TV sets on the table for Jim Delaney and Mike Slive to grab ... then he's dumber than he looks.

I was under the impression that Texas (amongst others) was courting the Pac12, now what? I'm sorta liking all this T for T BS....lol.

Jim Boeheim (Syracuse) "This is all about football, if it wasn't for that, we'd still have a great 9 team Big East Conf." Say's it all right there.

I would love to hear what's being discussed on the back channels of communication! The ADs have each other on speed dial - probably using "Go Phones" so the DOJ can't detect any illegal activity!

PAC12 are saying that they WILL NOT expand to more than 12 teams......
And they will keep saying that right up to the second they become the PAC 16.

Agreed. College basketball stands to lose in all of this. The Big East Tournament in Madison Square Garden - with all those quality teams - is a must-see event. The ACC tournament is probably 2nd, then every other conference tournament is way-y-y-y down the list.
Conference realignment based on football prowess seems short-sighted and sophomoric IMO.

He also stated that conf. shuffles are good when done properly, and with thought, not like this.

That will always be a possibility, whether now, or in the near future I guess.

He's happy to stay at 12...until someone else dissolves the Big 12, at which case he'll ride into Norman on a wave and come out smelling like roses.

Just to remind the masses Boren is an ex US senotor.
It is completely possible that the Pac 12 is very happy where it's at.
- They have quality academics that will produce quality alumni that will then give back to the university.
- Several of the schools have nationally (and world) renowned research institutions that bring prestige.
- They have quality sports programs across all sports.
- And, they now have a very lucrative new television deal.
Why fix what's not broke?
