Congratulations to the Cowboys and although the game was quite boring you can't argue with a win and a 2-1 record. Maybe they will regain their swagger and march into the playoffs. Only time will tell.
was a good game.... lots of positives and a few negatives. bennett? center - WTF?? penalties. but overall a W is a W. we've got to get TDs in the red zone. FGs are good, but won't win much and it will take TDs to beat the lions and pats. hope romo gets a good week of rest and looking forward to Detroit!!

The TD's will come when Austin returns.
When you have wide outs running incorrect routes it does not help the red zone offense.
Dallas is in BAD need of getting Austin back...I just hope he can get back on the field this week....and, having a healthier Dez will be nice too.

It is tough to score when you are missing two of your best playmakers.
The makings of a good team is when it's not playing well, but still manage to win. I questioned Garrett releasing so many veteran's, but in the long run, it might just work. Just have some growing pains to go through, such as last night.

Drip....you are right...it not only makes it hard to score but it makes coverages easier...this is why Haslett was dialing up so many 1 on 1 matchups with the corners because our wideouts could not make a play...that is, until Dez busted up Hall.
Bull...I agree, they played poorly on O and still got the win...last year, the Cowboys would have lost that game on the final drive.

It is always better to go with young talent over aging veterans. You never know when these old guys will hit the wall and have diminishing returns. The Cowboys may go through growing pains but it will be best in the long run.

What a difference in defensive coaching, huh Jeff? Wade could have, and should have, done more, but I feel like he probably thought he was too important being the HC. And, it caught up to him.

The intensity that Rob Ryan brings is outstanding!
And, the fact that he is lining up Ware all over the field is another smart move.
The various blitzes he is bringing is just sick and because it forces teams to get the ball out quick and in turn allows our corners to man up and bump for the quick passes.
Now-a-days in the NFL, if you play too much zone, you are going to get blown up.
I think Garrett has done a good job too. The bone headed mistakes will get fixed and Dallas will continue to improve.
It is a long season, but I still think this is a 10 win team...

I wholeheartedly agree with you.....we have a reason to be hopeful now. Last season just snowballed, and being a Navy vet, I think the ship has been righted now, or at least is being righted..........lol

Been saying since Week One... we need to get to the bye at .500 as the schedule after sets up very nicely.
Two tough upcoming games against QB's not named Sanchez, Smith or Grossman will test the defense but I have confidence I did not have last season.
Sean Lee... Pro Bowl bound health permitting!
I won't bash the O-Line - the kids have to grow up. This pays off later and all of us were tired of the old guys.
Ogletree... not even a #3. Give Holley and/or Robinson a chance instead.
And... Bennett... Adios Bro! You stink!

I think Dallas needs to be 3-1 but 2-2 is not the end of the world!
The rest you are dead on!

If the running game becomes a reality (not two big bursts in the second half) then Dallas can get 11 wins.

Jeff I think Dallas is/was 3-1 but sadly they let one of the 3 wins slip away in week one. Therefore with the Lions game looming I see 2-2.

Well...Austin is out again...
So, if Dallas does not get at least 80 on the ground, they will need to rely on the wideouts and outside of Dez and Witten, not many others inspire confidence.
Hopefully D and W will have big games and carry us.

Go with youth..the young gun's are faster, quicker and work harder because they want that big payday in which they know they will get if they stay healthy so I hope Jerry takes a page out of the Pat's and Eagles playbook and sign the guy's from Draft day get the prime year's out of them hope they have good year's and there value increases then get rid of them.
