NFL  > Dallas Cowboys  > Romo's defining moment?
September 27, 2011, 10:40 AM
I believe so, you could see it in his eyes last night in the post game interview. He was calm, albeit a crappy game, he looked extremely confident. He was leading his guys last night under horrible circumstances. I think this is the event that Romo needed to finally garner some respect and show the leadership he hasn't demonstrated yet.
Kudos to Tony Romo and congrats to Dallas fans on a 2-1 start.
I also think it is the guys on the team that needed to respect Tony's leadership most of all, and I think things are looking up in Dallas despite a horrible game, but a great W!

That game was painful to watch - both for Romo's physical pain and the number of mistakes on offense. I've NEVER seen a game with so many premature snaps in my life! Washington gave the game away, but Romo deserves props for keeping his composure and getting a win for Dallas.

not too sure i'd call this his defining moment. it was by far the most vocal we've ever seen him on the field... and with good reason. aikman would have been going nuts too. and he seemed "in the game" on the sidelines, as well. finally, romo seemed somewhat in charge of his team and displayed some leadership.... something we've all been looking for in him for a long time (probably including his team.) but to have a defining moment, this team needs to perform at a high level in a very meaningful game, perhaps in january. maybe even a playoff game. being 1-1 and getting a W with 6 FGs doesn't seem to fit the mold of a defining moment. not to take away from romo's gutsy performance..... and dallas really did need the W as the next two games will be tough ones..... and for dallas to get a W in either will require this team to get TDs!!
