NFL  > Dallas Cowboys  > Remove the last bit of evidence from Phillip's Camp Cupcake....
September 28, 2011, 12:48 PM
After watching Monday's Dallas/Redskin game and seeing the buffoonery displayed by Ogletree and Bennett I wonder why those two are still unable to function on an NFL team after 3 and 4 years of experience respectively.
I suspect that Ogletree has been satisfied in playing special teams, a bit of 4 receiver sets and just being what I call a ???strap hanger??? and pulling down a 6 figure salary. When he was called on to ???step up??? he embarrassed himself on National TV as a total scrub. Garrett stresses that there are no ???starters??? and ???back-ups??? that ALL are members of the team and should be ready to contribute. You see that in Ryan???s substitutions on Defense, the rotations remind me of the multiple packages J Johnson used to put in to grind down offenses.
Bennett is known best in Dallas circles for his ???tweets??? and comedic relief on social networking sites.
Where Garrett cleaned up the O-Line this year I expect these two clowns to be gone soonest.
What in the hell was going on in Cupcake???s practices and training with his strong leadership and crack staff in regards to getting these players prepared? Clearly these two will NEVER be starters, they don???t have it and never will. Whether ???it??? is physical skills or the WILL to win and learn.
Given the effort shown by Romo, Austin, Witten, T Smith, Ware, Lee, Spencer and others and then compare that to the ???posers??? like Bennett and Ogletree I want to blow a gasket. How can those two walk around the practice facility and not be woefully embarrassed to wear the uniform.
There was much made of the bad snaps from Costa but I was more horrified by the near constant direction needed from Romo to get the dang receivers into their proper positions. WRs do get a play book I presume?
If I were Garrett I would have fired Ogletree on Tuesday morning.
Am I over-reacting? Thoughts ?

QUOTE(#2):

Every NFL team has their share of useless individuals that don't contribute much. They are only on those teams because one of the coaches see some kind of value in them.

Yep, you nailed it.
seen those HBO summer/training camp shows and that is EXACTLY what the conversations are like around the table. Suspect after the 2nd year the coach who originally pushed for the guy would have to admit they were wrong initially......not going to happen. They would eat a bucket of **** with a rusty spoon before they would throw one of their picks under the bus.
