This topic and thread should have been started during the preseason.

SF vs Philly- Philadelphia play clearly leverages himself on a player when SF attempted their first field goal in the first quarter. Are these idiots blind ? Something is crooked in the NFL.

I agree Narrator the officiating is terrible and I can live with terrible if it's consistent but terrible and inconsistent is my biggest problem. Also be careful you will get called out by certain individuals on here as some will think or say your being biased..........LOL

I can only watch one or two games at one time. If they don't call a penalty on the 49ers I will be glad to point it out.

QUOTE(#3):

The officiating in the NFL has been bad for many years. One of the problems is most of the officials are too old to keep up with the pace of the game. These people do this part time and are insurance agents, attorneys or businessmen on the week days. They are just weekend warriors.

Being paid high five or 6 figure incomes for 20- 24 weekends a year. I say that the NFL make it a requirement that these guys devote their time to officiating full time during the season.

I don't think crooked is the right word, I prefer incompetent.

They usually call them incompetent until they find out years later about how they call penalties in order for Vegas to cover the point spread.

I wasn't referring to you Narrator but myself, I think you took my comment the wrong way as I mentioned the terrible inconsistent calls on another thread and got accused of being biased.

Don't worry I didn't take it personal. Sure I'm biased. But I'm hoping all fans submit what they think were terrible calls and at the end of the year we can see how many posts are on this thread.

I will also back track and go back to last weeks game in which the refs took away a sure TD by Michael Crabtree.

Last night I think Baltimore got a gift when the refs called what appeared to me to be an incomplete pass by Sanchez into a fumble and return for a TD for Baltimore.

Inconsistency truly is the problem. There have been a few times when refs have reviewed plays and I wonder what is taking them so long. Like I said I hope more people post their officiating complaints.

That one was really, really close. But I agreed with the call. That officiating crew is my favorite of all of them. Carey won't hesitate to pick up a flag if it's the wrong call.

I started a thread called Cheap shot or passionate play and it turned into a big argument as some fans assumed because I'm a Bear fan I guess I shouldn't comment on the Punch Woodson threw during the Saints game because I thought it was a cheap shot and was flagrant. Missed in all the fuss was the fact I included a hit Peppers made last season in which I thought warranted a flag and fine but yet I'm the one who is biased even though I can admit to such things and have no problem saying the the Lions got robbed last year on Johnsons TD.

Cheap shot or passionate play
