YOU CAN ALWAYS COUNT ON ROMO TO CHOKE...
October 2, 2011  04:41 PM ET

It might be nice if someone on offense made a tackle on those pick sixes as well. Appreciate THE renowned self proclaimed #1 fan from New Orleans providing insights as well. Oh and stop shouting.

If Romo would be on any other team he would a backup at best.

October 2, 2011  04:48 PM ET

And there you have it! Goodwill only lasts so long, but I also put equal blame on the play selection. Big 2nd half lead...WHY NOT RUN THE DAMN BALL?

October 2, 2011  05:04 PM ET

tough second half to watch. dallas played so well the first two qtrs. and with a 27-3 lead and the D playing well.... why not come out in the 2nd half and run? even punt a fews times.... make the lions earn the win instead of giving them the win. you can say the D laid down the 2nd half, but 14 pts put the lions back in this game in the blink of an eye and the D had nothing to do with this... huge demotivator. dallas should be 4-0 but they are a .500 team. romo will get the majority of the blame, but the play calling was poor in the 3rd qtr. hard to not feel romo is just this type of player.... a few good games and then a few horrible games. it seems to be in his blood.

October 2, 2011  05:14 PM ET

What was weird was watch both Dallas and Philadelphia build up large 1st half leads and seemingly blow out Detroit and San Francisco. But then watch both come from behind.

Common now, San Diego decided that Brees was a back up. Grow up please.

I am a Dallas fan. But Romo sucks. Always has. If the the starting QB would not have gotten hurt back when he was sitting the bench you would not even had heard of him.

How wrong you are my illiterate one. He was starter that got injured. The decided to go with the younger QB and how great that turned out.

DALLAS FANS ARE LIKE OHIO STATE BUCKEYE FANS. THEY THINK THAT THEIR TEAM IS ALL THAT. I LIVED AND WORKED IN DALLAS AREA NOT TOO DALLAS FANS ARE LIKE A PACK WOLVES. I NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT. THE SAME GOES TO OHIO STATE, BUT THEY PREFER "THE OHIO STATE". When all of the crap with Ohio State went down this past year long time supporter and alumni from Ohio State Kirk Herbstreit said it like it was. The attacks on him and his family were so bad he and his family move out of state.

Dallas fans are not too far back. They cannot take criticism. Yes I am a Saints fan they are my No. 1 team but I do like Dallas. Dallas will not thrive under Romo. Once a chocker, always a choker.

what do games like the jets and lions do to the team mentally? i mean these guys busted their **** playing pretty good ball. and their QB makes mistakes that kill their chances. certainly this happens on all teams throughout the season, but romo IS inconsistent and after a while it would seem that confidence in him has to fade. dallas has played 4 games they should have won and their QB has basically lost 2 of them by his mistakes late in the game. or in other words, this season romo has snatched defeat at the hands of victory on half of the games they've played.

Yeah, no excuse for either of those being scores.

And what the hell is Garrett thinking calling passing plays down field with 3/4ths of the receivers either hurt or not in the game when up 27-3?

Romo doesn't suck, he's just inconsistent. And not all Dallas fans are so thin skinned. Some of us can admit when our 'Boys blew it.

I am sorry. You are 100 percent correct. Not all Cowboy fans are ???thin skinned???. There really are some long time fans that true fans. They want what is best for team. I misspoke myself earlier. These fans are not in the group that I was speaking of. On the other hand, there are fans that think Romo is the best and do not say a bad word about him. It???s like they are wearing blinders. These are the ones that I referring to.

I would love to see the Cowboys go back to the Superbowl, but I do not see it in the immediate future as long as Tony Romo is QB. Too bad, I am sure that he signed for some time.

Major flaw with that theory. W/O Romo, they don't have those leads to begin with. He played absolutely flawless football in the first half of both games to put them in the position they were in.

Where? Go to any Cowboys forum you like right now and you will find 98% of the posts are COWBOYS FANS bashing Romo.

THEY, in fact, are the unreasonable Cowboys fans.

Folks like you, on the other hand, do nothing but try to incite fans of other teams. You are surprised when they defend their team/QB from an outsider who really doesn't know what's going on?

Fact of the matter is most Cowboys fans know exactly what Romo is. A VERY good QB who occasionally blows it in a big way. Are games like today frustrating as hell? Of course. But you know what? Next time Dallas is losing a tight game in the 4th QTR...I want Romo under center. For all the highly publicized 'mistakes', he's also one of the best late game QB's in the NFL. 11 4th QTR comeback victories in just 36 NFL starts. Nobody ever wants to talk about that, though. They want to talk about one of less than a handful of games that he "lost the game".

RHG has adopted (or maybe Ryan is behind it) Jimmy J. technique of bringing a full defensive pressure with rotating personnel for fresh legs. But Garrett seems unable to adopt Johnson's run first attitude and the passing is for the coup de grace. LIke you say, 27-3 is when a team just GRINDS down the other team, down after down after down.....running down-hill as it is called.
