Wisconsin actually used a REAL badger, but it was vicious, and out of control, so they got rid of it for obvious reasons.

The Tree is *not* Stanford's mascot. The Tree is the mascot of the Stanford Band. Stanford doesn't have a mascot. Unless you can find a way to represent the color cardinal that strikes fear into the hearts of opponents.

Alabama...named Roll Tide and have an Elephant as a logo? WTF??????

Auburn...Tigers with an Eagle flying around???? WTF????

For the Crimson Tide I think they should just have someone dress up a giant red dot.

"Scrotie" - from The Rhode Island School of Design. Their mascot is a guy dressed as a giant scr0tum. Granted, it's hockey not football, but I think Scrotie would make a great mascot for Texas A&M.

I always thought it was a little weird to want to be known as something that people associate with loads of dead fish on otherwise pristine beaches.

Always thought the Rainbow Warriors name lacked a bit of a fear factor...
