NFL  > General NFL  > Should the NFL ban Tweeting by its players and staff?
October 6, 2011, 08:49 AM
Ever since a player from the Colts tweeted a bunch of BS about cops pulling him over(cause he was gonn a be late) He tweeted himself an excuse...LOL yet no law enforcement agencey has a record of pulling him over.
Robert Irsay Tweets something stupid every 6 hours.
Tweeing sounds GAY.(the NEW gay=stupid) I'm gay as hell!
I don't think the league should allow tweeting on game day for sure...but I am curious what others think about these mediawhore athletes that tweet their entire lives everyday. It's rediculous! call me old school I guess...the only tweeting I like is Elmer Fudds> tweet me right wabbit!!!

Having said that I don't always agree with what's being tweeted by some players, columnists, owners etc. and believe some things/opinions are better off left unsaid but it's nothing that isn't usually later found in article somewhere only difference being your getting it straight from the horses mouth before any reporter or columnist has a chance to put the words into their own perspective to sell their article.

I don't do much tweeting but I do have a twitter account and read the tweets from the players and or owners along with the local and national reporters. For me it's better to read all the info in one spot rather than jump on NFL.com and the hop over to ESPN and then to Fox Sports News, and then pick up some hot topics at PFT and finally hit the local reporters from the local papers you get the picture. I like I can get the latest sports news before the communists write their articles and in their purest form before spiced up. You also can get some nice inside info you may not know and straight from the horses mouth so to speak.

I admit it may sound gay but IMO it's the single best news source on the net, depending on the user and how you use it and where else are you actually able to communicate with those in the professional world without personally knowing them.

In the end Twitter is what you make of it and I would ask if you have tried it or not and to use that old cliche to "don't knock it till you've tried it."

Because you mentioned all the other sports sites and not this one?
