Dear City of Anaheim;
Yes, you did get taken by the owner of the baseball Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the stadium contract ??? he beat you on the ???letter of???, if not the spirit of the agreement. And I believe we can assume that he had the contract worded that way so that he could do just that. You???ve spent money in the court system and lost the arguments, your legal fees, and that intangible respect of being a ???major league town???.

Now, I???m not pro-Angel, nor pro-Anaheim, but I do offer these questions and suggestions:

1. Does the contract prohibit road improvements to the stadium?
2. Does the contract prohibit law enforcement on the roads to the stadium?

--If road improvements are NOT prohibited, perhaps the City of Anaheim could erect TOLLS on EVERY access road closest to the stadium to pay for those improvements. $20. per vehicle ought to do.
--If City law enforcement just happens to be patrolling before and after game times, perhaps certain laws, such as cell phone use, speeding, etc. might be VIGOURSLY enforced.

I believe that after a few short weeks very few fans would be attending games for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
Then perhaps, club ownership might be convinced that, with the City???s assistance, there might be ways to attract fans to return to see the Anaheim Angels.
