NFL  > Chicago Bears  > Week 6 Here come the Vikings. Can the Bears stop Adrian?

That's what it all comes down to, can we stop Adrian Peterson? Sure we have had a multitude of injuries (Mostly on Offense), but they are no excuse for the Bears not playing like a team. It will take team work and team defense to stop Peterson. Something that the Bears have not had alot of since week #1.

On Offense we couldn't stop a kitten from trying to nurse on Jay's teat with our poor OL play. Jay and Matt had good games against the Lions, but the rest of the offense just isn't doing enough.

Again the Bears are one game behind .500 this season. We need to win and learn to win consecutive games. We need to start playing like a team. This bunch of individual stuff is not Chicago Bear football and untill they can correct it we won't be getting any better. GO BEARS!!!

The key to beating Minnesota is stopping Peterson from tearing off huge chunks of yardage. This is easier said than done but if the Bears can do that the Vikings offense will flounder.

I agree with your analysis Old #4. Unfortunately the Bears have not been very sucessfull defensively this year. Why is the question, other than at the safety position, we haven't had any real changes this season on defense. But one thing different this year vs last is the amount of time the defense is spending on the field. This lack of ball control can be attributed to the OL and Martz's play calling. If we can't control the ball I would expect another loss, due to the defense just getting tired by the end of the game. GO BEARS!!!

This game is very important because a win keeps us in the thick of things while a loss could be devastating to the confidence of this team.

Not sure if you can stop AP but it doesn't matter since the Vikings, as a whole, are irrelevant this season.

Stopping him is probably impossible. Controling the damage he does will almost definately win or lose us the game. GO BEARS!!!

It sure does matter. If we can stop Peterson our chances of winning improve, otherwise we will be looking at a 2-4 record.

The game hinges on the Vikings defense. If they can create turnovers to get good field position for the offense like they did against Arizona they will win.

Also, the Vikings defense has been, aside from AP, a big plus this season. They are very underrated.

The Bears have decided to start their Safetys of the future in Major Wright at Strong Safety, and Chris Conte at Free Safety. I'm very hopefull that these two men can finally solidify a position that has been a huge achelies heel for the Bears in the last 6 years or so since Mike Brown was cut. Even if they commit a few errors, I hope/think that they both can learn their jobs and become the players that the Bears have needed for a long time. GO BEARS!!!

Wishing and hoping? True what you say, but with some experience these players that have been mostly secluded on the bench and are looked at as players of the future can improve so that later in the season they become better. Go BEARS!!!

FANTASTIC, now why can't we get that kind of effort, effectiveness, and togetherness every week? Now it's to LONDON to play Tampa in an away game that will be more like a home game. If the Bears can show the same kind of effort etc, (see earlier comments) as in the Minnesota game then we can finally get above .500 and hopefully stay there.

Detroit lost and no one is expecting G.B. to go undefeated yet, so we are still in this even though admidly it's a long shot for us to win the division. GO BEARS!!!
