What do you guys think of this? If the guy is fully recovered and regained his mobility then I love the signing. He has had a lot of time off and you know the kind of arm he has. Do you think he can take the starting position?

If he is healthy, and that is a big if, he is more than good enough to start for the whole year. That would allow Russell to watch and learn and be ready to take the reigns next year.

This is a sad saga for Culpepper and now the Raiders are involved which makes it sad for them too. I have yet to read anything positive (Oakland Trib and San Fran Chronicle) about his performance this far at training camp (I know give him more than a day). This is one big mess for Oakland who at the moment appears to have once again the worst QB situation in the NFL. I still love my Raiders though!

o great, here we go again, taking another QB who has an nice resum?? but is past his prime. at least culpepper will b able 2 provide jamarcus russell with valuable tips.
