The young QB out of LSU needs to have some playing time before next season, when it is almost assured that he will be the full-time starter. I think we should have played him a little bit in the Dolphins game, but obviously we didn't. We should at least play him in a series or two to just get some basic experience. I really hope Kiffin sees this, because he'll probably be sticking around.

J Russ will be in there sooner or later. It depends on our next two games. If we get back to 4-4 then we probably roll with Culpepper. It all depends on Daunte. If Culpepper continues to play just bad enough to lose then we could J Russ as soon as Nov. 11 vs CHI in Oakland. If Daunte can produce like he is playing MIA then we might have to wait until next year. I think Lane Kiffin will start him as soon as the playoffs are completely out of the picture.

There is no way the Raiders could, should, or would start JaMarcus. However, he should understand at least enough plays to run a couple of series per game. They should give him that opportunity.

I'd give him his first start at home against Houston. Culpepper led us to a victory against Miami and Tommy Kelly saved one for us against Cleveland with a blocked kick. If he is our future we need to get him in there ASAP. I just think it would be better for him to make his debut at home instead of on the road.

I agree with Grogg, but I think we may want to see him play a few series even before he makes his first start, just so we know he will not be suprised by the speed and intensity of the NFL as opposed to college.
