MLB  > Milwaukee Brewers  > Who will the Brewers bring back in 2012?
October 27, 2011, 06:10 PM
Since the Milwaukee Brewers' elimination in the NL Championship Series last Sunday, Prince Fielder's pending free agency has dominated the early offseason discussion, and rightfully so.

Fielder will certainly be the center of attention in contract matters for the Brewers this offseason, but the reigning NL Central champions have a handful of other contract matters to take care of before beginning their division title defense in 2012.

Listening to Brewers talk TV yesterday, and it looks like McGehee is toast if they can find a half way decent replacement for Fielder at 1st base. Need better pitching too for that matter.

Hey, WDT! Why don't the Brewers want Fielder back?

Can't afford the $175-200 million to sign him.

Have you posted anything original on these boards yet?

Has anyone else posted this? Wasn't aware of it. There is no originality unless we're talking pure fiction writing. Everything you read is by someone else (DOH!), and everything you write yourself is based on others opinions (DOH!), sooooo, unless you have the abilities to make up stories, without using ANYONE else's info as reference (which NO ONE HERE DOES by the way)...then no. LMAO. Don't be an @nal troll flamboo, like the others around this message-board(s). SI/FN is full already with enough trolls/@nal idiots around here already.

I wouldn't mind re-signing Hariston, Jr and playing him daily at 3rd. We will not be able to compete with other teams in signing Prince, unless he takes a pay cut, but not all is bad, it gives us more money to figure out our relief situation since we let K-Rod, Saito, Hawkins go, maybe sign Rollins and still have money to go after a decent 1B.
