I loathe what the Superbowl has become. I don't even go to Superbowl parties any longer, call me an old curmudgeon.
When I am forced to stand/sit next to some tool idiot who only watches ONE game a year (generally a woman, sorry to stereotype) and hear redonkulous comments about what is theoretically the BEST game of the year ticking down inexorably to the long summer doldrums my nerves are ready to snap. Then the "masses" leave the food spread to come see the commercials--evidently the most important part to these gridiron goofballs!

Thanks for throwing this "turd" in my football weekend punchbowl JD, you got me all spun up 3+ months in advance! I liked it better when your Colts were winning and you stayed on point. Man the wheels really came off in Indy. Seems when the Superbowl is in your town your team gets jinxed--see Dallas last year; 1-7 start! Ok, my breathing is better now.......no more half-time show thoughts in my mind

Oh I get where you are coming from, I grew up watching my team under Landry, I think by Superbowl 12 Dallas had played in half of them approximately.....then the run under J Johnson and NOW a 15 year slump of ~.500 ball, each weekend a rollercoaster of misery! WTF? I was just flipping a little **** in regard to the topic and how it got ME all frothy mouthed IRT the damn Superbowl, maybe if Dallas played in more of them recently I might not care so much how bad the half-time show is.

I feel for guys like Jeff Saturday; he spent the summer carrying the player's union negotiations on his back so no real time off, he's got ONE superbowl ring and suspect he can see the sunset of his career from where he is standing....must be frustrating for him right now.
