MMA  > General MMA  > 2 Legends Claim it's Over...

After losses, one in a TKO, one by decision, Cro Cop and Penn claim it's over for their careers. Cro Cop's sounded a bit more concrete, but these days, who knows?

Does everyone think that it's officially over for these two legends? And in the canon of MMA, where do they rank in their respective divisions? (Rank Penn in both or one, more to talk about!)

One thing I wish that the UFC would really put some time into improving is retirement for Legends. This is something that the Japanese really did well. When Gary Goodridge fought Don Frye in his retirement fight, the retirement speech afterward almost made me cry. The UFC is just like,"Well Mirko, do you think you will fight again. No? OK, cool, thanks for the memories." Joe tries to make it something, but they refuse to allow a longer time slot for real speeches and things like that.

I understand BJ's "surprise" retirement, but they should have made more a big deal of the retirement of one of the greatest HW's of all time in Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic.

QUOTE(#3):

Cro Cop is done. BJ is not done. He let his emotions take over. I think he makes another run at 155.

I figure, you're having a rough day....but don't forget: The results of any Diaz fight are written in pencil until after the drug test....just like with Sonnen...
