NFL  > Philadelphia Eagles  > Things an Eagles fan should never underestimate...

5. The impact of a Phillies title on the Eagles' season. It counteracts our collective Philly sports psychosis that hampers all of our teams.

4. Two consecutive lazer throws by Donovan...to his receiver's ankles. An overexcited McNabb loses his mechanics and takes longer to find his rhythm. Can't afford that in most big games.

3. The level of fear opposing defenses feel when it's third and long and "5" evades the first pass rusher.

2. The mojo of an Eagle team wearing road white jerseys with a Super Bowl trip on the line (always remember 1980 and we unexpectedly had 'the greatest show on turf' on the ropes on its own turf in 2001).

1. The ability of another bird of prey to screw up our dreams. Falcons: Steve Bartkowski/Tim Mazzetti knocked us off in 80 and could have hurt our playoff seeding. Ravens: crushing blow to our season this year, and won a friggin super bowl too friggin soon! Cardinals: How many times in the late 80s early 90s was did the Eagles beat Championship Redskin, Cowboy, or Giant teams ...and lose some wacky game out in the desert with the NFC East and a high seed within reach??

**bonus pick (-1) How big the fall will be when Andy Reid/Donovan McNabb are no longer here.

Gonna be a very very very tight, close, and well-played game today. Dawkins and Mikell are Huge! Go EAGLES!!!!!

K couldn't agree more, DMAC is the greatest Eagles QB in history, still a top 5 on most day an top 10 others, but evn though he missed some throws at the end the Defence gave away the Game in the 1st. He an Reid have kept this team alive an good for almost a decade, a SB would be reat but i'd rather see my team in the Playoff's what is it 7 out of 9 years.
Don't forget its ONLY because of McNabb we eventually made the Playoff's with some luck an then won 2 gmes one over the Giants, we should have won, if that PI call had been made it'd have given us new life.
TRENT COLE IS HUGE, DESEAN THE ROOK WHO WAS TO SMALL IS HUGE AN SEAN ANDREWS IS JUST PLAIN HUGE but amazing.
Bottom Line, WestBrook is amzing, but needs real help, LJ, Shonn Greene, Beenie Wells, sopmeone big to spell him an actually put up big numbers. Also DeSean,Avant& Curtis are amazing collection of #2 an 3 WR's but we need TJ or trade Pick #22,Lito or Curtis, a 4th an a 2,3,4 or if BOLDIN meets requirments a 1st.
We HAVE to have an upgrade at RT, Tra at LT has a season left but we neeed help now. But we need that WR from Arizona named Boldin.
People that live in Philly don't realize this 32 kid has won 9 Playoff games, Passed for around 30,000 Yard Rushed for 24 TD's an has the best TD-INT Ratio in the game, 194-100.
Plus DMac throws at least 10 300 yard 3 TD games each year.
