I believe we have finally turned the corner.

I saw inklings of a national champeenship team the frosh/soph against BC.

Jimbo's gonna git a national champ. within 4 years IMHO.

It is possible. I am cautious after the preseason hype this year but I realize our injuries had a lot to do with our three game slide. Starting QB Manuel missed a few games, #1 WR Haulstead has been out all year, #3 WR Reed missed some time, #s 4 and WRs missed time, #1 RB Thompson is out for the year, at least three OL starters have missed time, CB Reid as well, and DT McDaniel is out for the year. The list goes on. We are recruiting well and last year's 10 win season was a great sign.

My main concern is that our offense seems to suffer when multiple players are too new. Last year many blamed the young WR corps for the passing problems at the start of the season. This year the three new OL starters were blamed for the lack of a running game. I hope Jimbo's system is not overly complicated for new players. This year Freeman seems to have caught on but O'Leary is apparently still running some wrong routes.

But if we avoid injuries next season I do think that we can make a serious run. It should be a fun year and hopefully a fun rest of this year.
