I have Cain winning by KO! I just think Cain is the better fighter and has more heart.

Cain wins. JDS could catch him and finish with strikes but I don't see it happening. I think Cain can hang with JDS on the feet. I also see Cain have a big wrestling edge, and a big cardio edge. I think Cain mixes his striking and wrestling up and keeps JDS guessing. His relentless pace will wear on JDS, and by mid 3rd round JDS will be exhausted, and Cain will stop him.Having said that, this is a fight I can't believe more people are talking about.

For real, 2 serious heavy weights going at it. I see a brawl and heart from both fighters but like you said, Cain has the edge on the ground and cardio that will finish the fight.

Nice. Its tough.

Its tough if you act like you know it all. I am there like a child learning how to read a book. Right now I am in intro to mma, learning the techniques of punching and defending from your back. Tonight I will be learning some grappling and how to take someone down. Its really fun and easy to do once you learn it and practice it. My cousins are getting a free lesson on the weekends because I practice on them. lol

I disagree with everything here! Where the hell is hyped when I need him. I only talk to him on PS3 now.

Let it be known....Cain will feel the PAIN as the Gypsy takes the reigns

I hate the hype and I never like what the cloud that followed Cain up until he became champ. No doubt he is great but I don't beleive anyone packs the power and precision that Cigano has and we have all witnessed Cain go gumby 5 times in one fight when Kongo connected. I think Cigano will find his target quick and often. Cains G&P has often had a weak display case in reference the Rothwell fight! I don't think Cain wants to roll with Cigano because BJJ is the reason reason why they call him the Gypsy in Brazil. He earned the nickname after training only six months in BJJ. I don't know the exact reference due to translation errors but I think all in all Cigano is about to take the title and hold it for awhile....I got me 50 smackers ridin on it!

P.S. Jim.... I pulled for Baby J SOMETHING I NEVER THOUGHT POSSIBLE I almost cried when he lost in that fashion.....not really but damn he went out like a warrior on his sheild. I hope to see Diaz get some humble pie...who knows...Hughes trained with Penn for the Koscheck fight....maybe GSP will train with Penn for the Diaz fight

Haha crazier things have happened

Gotta work those singles. Its all in the shot.

Yeah we learned that last night, I am sore from getting low and going for the single. Its very interesting, once I become more fluid practice will get better for me.

Nah, I don't see much ground game in this fight. I see Cain taking JDS down a couple of times but Cain's cardio is key in this fight. JDS seems to gas out in his last couple of fights and he has never been in a 5 rounder before. Cain will prob win by TKO. I will match your $50 smackers.

Kongo did rock Cain on a few occasions in that fight, but Cain did recover everytime and he won the fight. Also, Cain has significantly improved his standup since then. Add in the fact that JDS couldn't finish Nelson or Carwin, and I don't see him finishing Cain. And I don't think Cain is too worried about JDS jitz. Cain trains guerilla jujitsu with Dave Camarillo came up the ranks training BJJ next to BJ Penn. I believe both guys are brown belts, so I don't see a sub in this fight at all.I see Cain taking JDS down, but JDS eventually getting back to his feet, and while getting back to his feet, Cain will unload a few shots to his mouth, while setting up another takedown. Thats how he rolls. He's already working on another takedown while his opponent is try to get back to their feet. Cain works alongside Daniel Cormier, and JDS will not be ready for that level of wrestling.I see Cain mixing his strikes up. Punches, kicks, with his wrestling and couple that with his furious pace, he will wear JDS down.Listen, I actually like both guys, and maybe like JDS slightly more, but this is not a great fight for him on paper.Cain finished this fight TKO latter half of round 3.And I got $280 smackers riding on it.

I agree, Cain has improved since the Kongo fight. Its going to be a great fight. Cain has grown on me since his congo fight. I like JDS and think he is a tough fighter but I don't think he is near championship caliber yet.

I know, that was a rough one for me. I think he takes some much needed time off and comes back motivated, and comes back to 55 where he belongs.Did you happen to see Inside MMA the other day? Diaz was on and they ran an interview with Penn at the Pro Elite event. Basically Penn said GSP will win because his strength is his wrestling and thats Nicks weakness. Although he said that if Nick can somehow mentally breal GSP he could win. But he said GSP will win, and then they asked Nick his thoughts. He said Penn was just bitter. Um no jackass, he was just being honest in his evaluation of the fight. Thats what most of us think.GSP will handle Diaz because of his superior wrestling.

Its crazy hearing all the predictions for this fight, especially at the mma gym. Everybody keeps saying how Nick has great hands on his feet and on the ground and he will beat GSP. I am not a gsp fan but come on now. GSP is not a champion by luck; he is a student and teacher of the game. He may be boring but he gets the job done convincible. Gsp will toy with Nick and will finish this fight to prove a point and shut Diaz up.

That's pretty close to what I was thinking too. Kongo rocked him several times in that fight, and each time he did Cain went to his wrestling to recover. The question is does JDS have enough take down defense to keep Cain from being able to do that. The real question though is how rusty will he be after a year layoff due to the surgery, and what effect is that going to have on his punching power and speed. Yes Cain recovered when Kongo wobbled him. So can JDS finish Cain if he wobbles him.
