NFL  > General NFL  > Vick most disliked???

A poll from Forbes.com says Vick is the most disliked in the NFL...... LOL!! That poll from Forbes.com was probably written by someone with issues against Vick. This poll is so tainted its not even funny..... I had to comment on this and maybe someone can make it clear to me how you can come to this conclusion......The NFL is the most popular sport in America. It commands a very large portion of Americans. Vick's jersey is the number 6 seller in the NFL........ That is a lot of people buying Vick jerseys....... who did they poll, PETA members only??? Makes you wonder........ What Vick did was wrong but obviously some people want to see him punished forever even though he paid his due and is TRYING to be a better person. There are people who just refuse to let him try and improve himself......

And so what if he is the most hated? Please tell me why I should like him.

I didn't say you have to like him, I just questioned the authenticity of the conclusion of the poll given how many fans he has in the NFL........

He did his time, has gone up and above whats been asked, and people still hate him. I say let the man move on. It's like hanging the fact that you used to do drugs over your head even though you have been clean for years. Yes, what he did was horrible, but people need to let the man redeem himself and move on.

You can structure a questionairre or poll to make it say what you like. I know that Forbes is where all the well informed NFL Fans hang out. The readers at Forbes probably hate him for losing all his money and not giving it to them so they could take it from him instead.

Hate is a very powerful emotion, one that can control your entire life........if you let it. Some people are more forgiving than others. The stigma of what Vick did draws various conclusions from various people.

I myself don't lean one way or another. I'm not going to put myself in a position to judge him, because I'm not a judge. One day Vick may answer to a Higher Authority than anything we have here.

Insofar as the polls, most polls usually are asked of 3000-5000 people (give or take), in various ways. Not all people will do these polls, so any accuracy of the subject will be misleading, considering the entire population of the U.S., and/or wherever.

Since studies show that something like 90% of all players in the NFL have spent all the money they have earned playing football within 7 years after retirement. We'll see where Vick is at 10 years from now. He won't be in the NFL I guarantee you.

I wonder if Vick is more disliked than O.J.

That's doubtful.

At least I would hope it was

And to think I actually tried being nice in my response - no names or insults were thrown your way.But since you want to get personal with me now crybaby, I'll gladly return the favor ...I'd try finding one between those legs of yours (an electron microscope might help).

Poor BG the victim. Your feelings got hurt and now you pretend you didn't really insult Pittfan. I have a lot of respect for Pittfan as he is a reputable poster on these threads. I guess only your point of view is meaningful and full of wisdom. You are very good at playing the martyr.

But we already knew that. And another point: Anyone is worthy of redemption TO YOU. That's YOUR personal opinion. You don't speak for me or any of the other people on here who detest the guy for the reasons I listed - so don't try to speak for any of us in the future, got it?I'll wait for you to prove that all the money he's getting has nothing at all to do with him acting rehabilitated as long as his checks keep coming in. Something tells me that I'll be waiting a while ...If you don't think that a vast majority of people would stop all sorts of bad habits (temporarily) if they were paid $100 million dollars to do so, then you're officially as stupid as you look.In the meantime, keep posting personal insults my way and I'll continue to tear you to pieces for it.

My IQ is higher than that of a plant's thank you. I like to think to best of humanity, so if you want to live life in a bleak, pessimistic mind set go ahead. I'd rather believe there is good in everybody.

The fact that it's based on Pittfan having a soft spot for a guy who killed animals ... for pleasure .... who is suddenly assumed to be a changed man .... thanks to having boatloads of money thrown at him? Well, that just makes it more enjoyable for me.

Pittfan was referring to people who serve their time and are trying to assimilate back into society. Everyone deserves a second chance and hopefully Vick will have learned from his mistakes. You find it enjoyable attacking people you don't agree with don't you?
