NCAAF  > Penn State Nittany Lions  > It'd be nice to go back to football, but now it's time to be sick

Frankly I have no words for how troubling this is.

Heads need to roll if for no other reason to

GIVE PAUSE TO ANY MORONS IN THE FUTURE THAT RAPING CHILDREN IS NOT PERMITTED IN OUR SOCIETY

football just took a back seat to this story, as it should be

The silence is deafening. I worked for a company based in State College for many years and have several friends that are PSU grads with connections on campus. The overwhelming feeling is that JoePA hijacked PSU several years ago so he could break a record. Well, he broke it and in doing so let his university, players, community and mostly several young children down.
I have NO empathy or sympathy for this man.

The silence here or the silence from Penn State. Joe Paterno is getting ripped on T&R.

This forum is an abortion due to the spamming, unfortunately.

I meant the forum here. I'm surprised by the lack of outrage, and yes, the spam has become unbearable which is one reason I seldom visit anymore.

There was so much outrage on Truth and Rumors, that they zapped the thread/article.

... yeah, and there was a lot of immaturity too. Between all the "I'd beat him with a baseball bat" posts and folks lashing out there wasn't a lot of rational thought conveyed. When a few posters tried to add a calmer perspective they were jumped on as part of the problem. It was stupid.

I've dealt with abuse and molestation issues in courtroom environments where very graphic testimony and evidence was presented and argued. The most important thing to do in cases like this is fall back on your training ... remove all the emotions and let the decisions be data-driven (in other words ... act like adults not children). I didn't see a lot of adult behavior in yesterday's T&R it was just stupidity. It was a waste of time.

I am not defending anyone by saying what I am about to say here. But I think alot of the reaction was just shock and outrage. I have a 10 year old daughter with Down Syndrome. If something like that happend to her, well I won't go there.
Alot of it was childish. But I really think it was the shock of it all.

They need to get rid of them all. I saw an article about this on HomeFieldNews that made me sick.
