NFL  > General NFL  > Game of the Week?

NYG/SF -- (Only game on this list that isn't a divisional game .. but this is a HUGE game for both teams. The 49ers have pretty much locked themselves in to the Playoffs this year .. but this game today will show how big of a threat they really are. Same goes for the just as surprising New York Giants .. Huge game in the NFC for both teams.)
My Pick: San Francisco 24-3 - The Defense forces Eli Manning to have a bad day ..

NO/ATL (New Orelans needs to get back to their old selves quickly. Whoever wins this game will take the lead in this division.)
My Pick: New Orleans 38-17 -- Saints make a statement.

PIT/CIN (Game of the Week -- See below)

DET/CHI (Detroit will prove that they are truly a playoff contender if they can beat the Bears Sunday .. but if the Bears can't pull out a win then the Playoffs will seem a lot further away then they did last week.)
My Pick: Detroit 20-16 - If Detroit can cool off Matt Forte they'll win.

NE/NYJ (Neither team should be out of the playoff race with a loss on Sunday .. but if the Jets win they will take the lead in the division and the Patriots will have lost their third straight. Whoever wins will get a huge boost in confidence ..)
My Pick: New York Jets 28-21 - Jets are for real .. I love the way they've been playing, Sanchez had one of his best games last week .. Huge upset.

DEN/KC (HUGE game for Denver. They must win if they want to have a chance to get to the post season .. There won't be a wild card team coming out of this division.)
My Pick: Denver 24-10 - Yes, I'm a Tebow believer

There's some GREAT divisional games going on in Week 10 this year .. Leads will be changing, power will be shifting .. but which one is the most interesting? Of course, I'm going with the Steelers in Cincinnati, taking on the Bengals. If you ask me, if Pittsburgh doesn't win this game they are not going to the Playoffs this season. The offense has been playing consistently over the past few games .. they haven't been turning the football over at all. But the defense needs to step up .. go ahead and give up 300 yards passing, 100 yards rushing, don't get any turnovers .. but for the love of God, stop them at the end when it matters. The Steelers D couldn't do that last night and it may have cost them the division.
This Sunday is when they have to step up. If the Steelers defense can't control this game the Bengals will win. This won't be a game like we've seen Roethlisberger play lately. Don't expect 300 yards and multiple touchdown passes .. if we want to win we need to play good defense. The offense will just have to play good enough. I expect this to come down to the field goal kicker .. Hopefuly Suisham can get it done for us!
Steelers win 16-10

I'm not sure about 24-3, but Ilike the pick. I believe the Niners are going to beat the Giants. But it would not be a shocker if they lost. It is a big game though, possibly for the 2 seed.

hmm,......my patriots always lose and your steelers always win.....??.....[poster up top]

He must pick that way every week. I wouldn't know.

This week is going to be big for both the Pats and the Steelers, Both teams need the "W" and I am hoping the Pats smack the Jets around. Don't really know who if anyone I will be rooting for in the Cincy/Pit game. It would be a feel good story if Cincy won that division though.

Not official obviously, but could you imagine Cincy, Buffalo, Oakland, Detroit, Houston and San Fransisco in the playoffs?

morning duke,..........yes he picks the pats to lose ''every'' week,........this is a must game this week for the pats or i'm gonna jump ship to the buffalo [side] if they lose !........good luck to your 49rs , they look great,......i'm not sure how the giants will handle a west-coast game[flight/time,etc.] ?......i have a feeling the giants used up a lot of ''energy'' last sunday up here in n.e. !

Moaning to you Mother....

I am at a loss for words with they way SF is playing this year. I am going to stop short of any playoff predictions, but if they can keep playing tough hard hitting defense and their offense catches up to Frank Gore, they could make some noise. One thing seems certain, they will at least be in the playoffs for the first time in 8 or 9 friggin years.

Don't go trading your Pats though. There is still a lot of football to be played. I know you are not used to seeing your team lose 2 in a row, but it aint over yet.

Duke,Yeah i doubt it too,but with this season's been so far? Who knows.

Howdy EZ. I'm not so sure I doubt it. Buffalo is kind of the long shot, but the rest have a great chance.

Looking forward to NY/SF; think SF will win. Will watch the Pitt/Cincy game on pixalated internet hell, not on in my area. Pitt wins. Those are what I think will be the "game(s) of the week"--categorizing by Conference.

Detroit at Chicago is the game of the week IMO.

A good game indeed. However, that is for 2nd place in the division, the Niners/Giants game is for 2nd place in the conference.

If Chicago wins, that would give GB a 3 game lead, Whoever wins between Pitt/Cincy will keep heat on Baltimore and still have a legit shot at the regular season conference title.

But it is still THEIR game of the week.

Why do they automatically look at scoring plays, but not at plays that were scoring plays but called down at the 1?
