Looking for a clear definition of what a "homer" is. I've ruled out a "well-hit ball to left field". I think I'm closer with a "person who ardently roots for their local sports team". I suspect though, that there is more to it than this. All posters welcome to opine, newbies, mid-rangers, and megas.
