Lets see, should I collect $7 million dollars and take a break from football for a year, or go to Kansas City? Tough choice.

He'll collect 7 million from the Broncos either way. I don't think he'd be making a bad decision coming to KC. Shanahan would be joining his friend Scott Pioli and the two could build one of the most dominating teams within 4-5 seasons. It really is a good position to be in because the owner, Clark Hunt will stay out of the way and offer his full support of Pioli and whomever is the next head coach. Also, the team has a young core to build around. Sure they have holes all across the board, but that means that the next head coach gets to hand pick who he wants to lead this team. That could be an attracting proposition. Now, do I think Shanahan will coach in Kansas City? NO. If I had to put my money on it... here are my odds on favorites to win the job.
Todd Haley - 2:1 favorite
Chan Gailey - 7:1
Mike Shanahan - 10: 1
Kirk Ferentz - 15: 1
Brian Billek - 30: 1
Bill Cower - 40:1
Bill Parcells - 60:1
Mike Shanahan 0%... Check the link I posted above.

I understand that's what the story says, but i still think its a possibility until Shanahan himself tells a reporter that it won't happen. How many times have we heard these "sources" tell us one thing and then things change once an owner makes a high $$$ offer and the potential candidate starts fielding calls from others associated with the team? I agree that it probably won't happen, but I don't count anything out until I hear it directly from the man's mouth. By the way, much credit needs to be given to Pioli and Clark Hunt for the way they've been able to keep everything so silent. Everybody is guessing at this point. Keep up the great work guys!
parcells should be a million to one. I don't think there is anyway that he will come down to field level to be a coach. He knows that his best days are behind him, and he likes his present situation.
