He has taken ALOT of heat. After tonight, you guys have to admit Lane is doing one hell of a job.

The playcalling, and gameplan was damn near perfect. We have gotten better and better each week. That my friends, is because of good coaching. If you give him crap when we have been bad (and to be honest, we really haven't been in the last couple of years), then you have to give him credit for being where we are now.

So where exactly are we??? Next year our bowl ban is off, and with a win like tonight we will still pull a Top 10 recruiting class. Unlike other programs, Lane has shown he is able to coach the guys up. Pulling talent, helps coaches win games. If we can convince Barkley and Kalil, to stay, we will have one hell of an offense for next year. Our D is young, (started 3 F/RSF, LB's again this week and they played a hell of a game), and playing better and better.

We are NOT going away anytime soon guys. Deal with it.

That was a good game. Barkely is a really good QB and was clutch tonight.

Oh, and tell him thanks from Alabama for eliminating a team that some thought should be ahead of Alabama. :)

Bama is looking pretty good. On the other hand if LSU beats ARK and the CC game against UGA maybe we should simply hand them the damn crystal football and let everyone else fight among themselves...

Wonder if Welfare Bear shows up....

Speaking of Bears, RG III may have earned himself a pretty trophy today. That final pass was a thing of true beauty.

I hope to God that you're right.I just can't bear the idea of LSU and Alabama rematching for the National Championship.

If LSU runs the table simply call off any final game and hand them the trophy... No other team in the country will deserve a shot at them.

BTW, Utah and UCLA still have BCS bowl bid dreams... Interesting weekend in the P12.

Kiffin is probably 1 of the better coaches itc right now

He:
- made a bad Tennessee team competitive
- used brilliant verbal statements to steal top recruits
... from rival schools - And generate fan interest
- recruited top talent at a school under sanctions
- currently has 1 of the best teams itc
- done everything that a HC should do in terms of being a leader
... of young men

Any negativity generated towards LK comes from the media, and from (some) way-too-passionate/sometimes whiny fans that believe that a certain brand of football is so sacred that any newcomer should have the utmost respect for its old timers and should never say or do anything even remotely controversial.

Agreed.
(if they beat Arkansas and UGA)

- Bama has not looked impressive at all the last 3 weeks
- the other top teams lost

Hand LSU the #1 ranking and let's move on with Bowl Season.

Barkley had a great game tonight. Marquise Lee and Robert Woods are both scary good.

I like what I saw from the defense for most of the game.

This is a young team that is only going to improve. If Barkley chooses to come back next year, it could be a special season.

You do know that if they somehow manage to squeak into the CC game RN will be back right? It may be a lot smarter to rip the band-aid this year than stick with a dude that will be btwn 4-8 and 8-4 for the rest of his coaching career...

Good point.

Just like Richt at UGA.

And yes, Lane Kiffin out-coached Chip Kelly tonight.

At this point, doesn't matter who is in Westwood. Lane is doing a terrific job keeping us relevent during sanctions. We are wayyyyyyyyy ahead of ucla, not to mention right on the heels of the ducks. May even make a case for us being ahead of them right now. All I know is, things are REAL good for us. Hell, the domers might still be 3 or 4 years behind. Kiffin sure as sheet is ahead of Kelly.
