That little green **** wins again with 45 points. He loses both the main and co-main and still kicks our asses.

MasterBatter comes in 2nd with 35 points.

Spartan comes in 3rd with 33 points. 3's are wild.

UH, C, and myself come in 4th place with 32 points. My bank account did better. Maybe C should've have stuck with Bonnar?

El Diablo goes from best to 7th in a matter of a week. It happens ED.

Gus comes in 8th with 26 points. His homework on the prelims was lacking.

DJ broke his cherry with 25 points. Not bad for a virgin DJ.

And Krypto rounds it out with 23 points.

Nice job boys. Good luck next time.

Damn it, I would have beaten Spartan then. Oh well, it was still a kick ass card.

I might just be getting caught up in the hype a little, but I still think that Shogun vs Henderson might be the greatest fight of all time.

QUOTE(#2):

It was up there. And I dvrd it so I can watch it again tonight. The whole card was awesome. I thought dan was done there for a bit but he hung on. Anyone think that should've benn a draw? I don't but I've read and heard that.

I had it a 47-47 draw myself, scoring them as follows:

Round 1: 10-9 Henderson
Round 2: 10-9 Henderson
Round 3: 10-9 Henderson
Round 4: 10-9 Shogun
Round 5: 10-8 Shogun

Though I can see a real argument for Hendo taking the second 10-8, leaving a 47-46 Hendo scorecard. What I don't see is the final round not being a 10-8 round in favor of Mauricio.

Just a terrific fight though, reminded me a little of Ninja vs Hendo actually, where Dan was punished in the first 15 minutes and then launched a final salvo at the end of fight to make it a great fight. But this time it was the Rua who showed such great heart and pushed at the end.

It was even better for me because I was afraid Shogun might have lost some of his fighting spirit, as he seemed to break in a few of his losses, like the Bones and Forrest fights. In this fight, however, he had several opportunities to just turtle up and let the ref stop it, or tap to the Philotine in the first round, but he showed an indomitable will to win. And his cardio seemed to fall apart in the second frame, but his spirit launched him into those final two rounds.

I have thought about it more, and I can't remember a fight that I would call better than this one. How many fights see such elite competitors trade 10-8 rounds, both have near catches and KO finishes.

I finished better than I thought I did.

What an event. Wow. Incredible card.

I hope they make Hendo vs. Evans for UFC of Fox 2 in January.

I wish I could see how the judges scored it. Maybe they had round 4 as 10-10? I could understand that more than round 5 not being a 10-8

MMA Decisions.com said that there were no 10-8 rounds scored by the judges, so they just went 10-9 across the board.

Rogan mustve had money on cung to say that was a bad stoppage. I thought rogan had a tough night.

I think they could have let that fight go a little longer. Cung was holding onto a single, and I think that is what he was looking at. But the ref was watching his hips, and he was just lying on his side with the rest of his body, and that is why he stopped.

*stopped it.

I'd have been tempted to call the 5th a 10-8 as well but I could understand the argument that Shogun didn't dominate so much as "fall" into superior position against a gassed opponent and then do nothing with it....the most notable stat is that he got mount 5 times, and yet landed nothing of significance despite the fact that Hendo was just about to pass out from exhaustion...ultimately, Shogun was able to get mount on what amounted to a practice dummy and then still fail to finish...not all that impressive, at least not enough to warrant a 10-8...
