NCAAF  > General NCAAF  > CFB Game Day The 13th
November 22, 2011, 07:04 AM
Having missed a week, this is the 12th board, though the 13th week of CFB. Watching the games? Post about it here. Rants, raves, and the usual expressions of fans caught up in the CFB action are welcome. Spam, politics, and other lesser expressions of the human condition have there own places. Not here. Here is for the pure expression of love for the game of football as played by our collegiate student athletes.

Tonight is a intrastate clash between Miami (Ohio) and Ohio (not the big university in Columbus).

I should be excited... I have tickets to the FSU game in the student section. Hopefully the Gators will get a signature win for Mus

10-2 we shall be after this weekend. Going to pull in another great recruiting class, and next year make a run at the NCG. Life is good my friends.

USC is in a better spot than UF. They will be the class of their division next year (and this year without the sanctions). If Barkley and Kalib return, a run at the BCS game is a good possibility. Even if Barkley is gone, USC has never had a problem replacing a great QB.

I thought that since they appealled the NCAA ruling and able to recruit a full class the first year, that that year was passed to the end....so they have one more year?

But if not, great...play on great Trogans....

It just put it off for a year. Bowl ban is off next year, but scholly sanctions kick in. Good thing is our team is actually really young. The experience from this year, will be huge for the next 2 to 3 while we ride out the reductions. If Lane can convince Barkley to stay, it could work out alot better than most expected. We shall see, but I like the way things are shaping up.

Your class size is limited to about 10 right?

Without sanctions, UTK's roster was depleted. When Double D took the reins, there were over a dozen unfilled scholarships. The Vols looked like an newly minted FCS squad.

In 2011, 23 Freshmen have played in games, 16 of them true Freshmen. At times, 18 out of 22 players (O & D) have been Freshmen.

Do I blame Lane Kiffin, the-foreskin-who-survived-circumcision-to-grow-up-and-marry-uber-hot-Layla ? No.

The buck stops on former AD Mike Hamilton's desk. Though, those who promoted Hamilton to AD and Phil Fulmer share some of the responsibility.

The point is that the loss of 10 scholarships for a couple of years is not going to undo USC's football program or teams. It would take much more than that to humble the Trogs. Ride that white pony! Plunge that sword into the earth! let the Song Girls dance!!!

LET 'EM DANCE! YEAH!

Sounds like some more dirty secrets are coming out of the Coach Paterno legacy.

No more scandal posts to this board, thank you. Game Time again in 14 minutes.

TAMU navle-gazed their way into another loss to UTx. Tannyhill is a better QB than what he showed last night, and his fiance's uber hot.

UTx's D is for real. Dayum. I'm happy for JRM and the other Longhorn fans. I'm curious to see how UTx fares against Baylor and RG3. That D is trouble to everyone that faces the Longhorns, but, can they thwart the Bears and scare up enough points to win? Right now, I'm thinking Baylor upset...

Does anyone else have trouble taking Texas A&M vs. Texas seriously as a rivalry? It's hard for me to think of a series where one team has more than double the wins of the other as a rivalry series.
