Will-post-before-12/17 bump.

December 6, 2011  05:22 PM ET

The Famous Idaho Potato Bowl ? Broadcasting the game will be Mr. Potato Head the only famous potato I know of.

Never heard of a companies called Beef O'Brady or Belk, and what the heck is New Era Pinstripe?

Now the Emerald Bowl is called the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl in which 300 pound linemen play before a bunch of obese fans. Lets hope they are fighting to end hunger in the US or are they drumming up money and food donations to go to fight hunger abroad?

December 6, 2011  05:28 PM ET

For the games on 12/17/11:

New Mexico Bowl- Temple over Wyoming
Famous Idaho Potato Bowl- Ohio over Utah St.
New Orleans Bowl- San Diego St. over LA- Lafayette

How Boise State Got Shafted Again
How Boise State Got Shafted Again

Final Coaches Poll for Boise State was 6. (Counts for 1/3 of the total BCS score)
- Votes by Coaches (Numerical Criteria I used to assess votes)
4 or below: Biased in favor; 5-7:Reasonable; 8-10:Biased against; 11 or more: Not Defendable.
Comments poll numbers:
1. Sun Belt coaches from Louisiana, Monroe and Louisiana Lafayette, ranked Boise State No. 13 and No. 11 respectively. LSU ranked Boise St. No. 9. There is a big Louisiana bias against Boise St. 2. Three SEC coaches ranked Boise St. at No. 11. (Vanderbilt's James Franklin, Alabama's Nick Saban and South Carolina's Steve Spurrier). LSU's Les Miles ranked Boise St. No. 9. The only SEC team Boise State played (and beat), Georgia, ranked Boise State No. 5. 3. Frank Beamer of Virginia Tech (who Boise St. beat last year) ranked the Broncos at #9 as did Tom O'Brien from NC State. I would have expected more honesty from Frank Beamer. 4. Pac 12 coaches, Jon Embree of Colorado and Utah's Kyle Wittingham ranked Boise State No. 11 and No. 8 respectively? Embree ranked Virginia Tech and Houston above Boise State. How? MWC San Diego State coach, Rocky Long and WAC Fresno State Coach, Pat Hill voted Boise State No. 4 which was a stretch at best. 8. The Conferences that were the most consistent and fair to Boise State was the Big 10, the MAC, the Big East, and Conference USA.

So those coaches that voted BUS lower than what you thought are unfair? What make 5-7 Reasonable? What makes the coaches (or their staffs/designees) so unreasonable? Just because they don't fit your plan?

Just wondering

I don't get what you are saying here. BSU didn't earn an auto-bid because they lost to TCU. They got shafted but not by the voters (although some look to be pretty stupid). They got shafted by the BCS bowl selection group because they like the design of the tSUN and VT uniforms and the wallets of the fans from those schools more than BSU's.
