I like Maia in the Bisping fight.
Maia has developed his striking game to the point that I think that he will be able to hurt Bisping standing, drop him and probably finish him with a front headlock choke of some sort.
How does Bisping win that fight really? I highly doubt that he has the power to KO a guy like Maia, and he sure doesn't have any buisness on the ground in any capacity with Demian.
His point striking style matches up poorly with Maia's style of timing power shots, and Bisping can't employ the bore-us-to-tears wrestling style he tried to steal the Wanderlei fight with.
Maia all the way there. If he is a dog, and I had money to piss away, I would put money down there.
Speaking of money on dogs, I might actually make my first MAMA bet and put a little cash on Tito vs Lil Nog

What is the line on that fight? I haven't looked at any recently.

Also breaking news from the great MMA Spartan. GSP is out for up to 10 months with a blown ACL. Diaz will now fight Condit for the Interim Welterweight title.

QUOTE(#10):
Maia might have improved standup but he it doesn't even compare to Bisping. As much as Bisping doesn't have power how has Maia shown power in his hands?I think Bisping keeps it standing for the most part and picks Maia apart.
The way he turns his hips into his punches, he aggressive counter attacks he has shown recently, especially in the Munoz fight, which he won in my opinion.
The only way Bisping wins this fight is a very boring boxing display. I don't think he can avoid getting his bell rung and/or getting taken down for a full 15 minutes. If Demian gets him down, the likelyhood of him finishing Bisping has got to be around 85%.
Don't get me wrong, Bisping will win most of the exchanges. I believe, however, that he will get caught and take more damage than Maia.
Another thing not many are discussing: Look at the success that Wanderlei had in taking him down. If Demian picks his takedown attempts wisely, he should be able to get him down eventually.
QUOTE(#8):
I already put money on Tito in that fight. Solid dog pick IMO.
Maybe it is the Pride in me talking, but I wouldn't touch Tito with a ten foot pole in that one.
The only way I see him winning is a takedown and ground and pound, and a guy with a solid defensive closed guard and good wrist control + attacks off of his back like Nogueira makes him (Rogerio) a solid pick for me in that one.
Or is there some aspect that I am missing that you guys think Tito will have an edge that you guys think will make the difference in the fight?
QUOTE(#14):
I just look at the difficulty Nog has had with wrestlers in the UFC. He lost to Davis and Bader, and I thought he lost to Jason Brilz. I think Tito can dirty this fight up and grind out a decision. And at +190 odds, I'll lay some coin on that happening.
Jason Brilz was robbed. He beat lil Nog. The loser out of Nog and Tito should retire.

I don't think anybody has the edge on this fight but if I had to just pick I would guess Tito winning. Nog hasn't done anything to prove he can win this fight. Tito has a recent win against Ryan Brader who beat Nog.

Agreed I can't remember seeing anything from Maia that shows he has improved his standup to be calling anything he throws a power shot.
